How stupid is this ?

As a vegi (not a vegan) i would eat this

That goes back to the old 'I like children but I couldn't manage a whole one'! :D

It’s funny how upset a small proportion of meat eaters get about veggies and vegans eating anything that resembles something else that might be made out of meat.

It’s not as if meat grows in the shape of a burger, ffs. Other people in other cultures have been eating burger shaped and meat resembling things without any meat in them for a long time. Sometimes they’ll even have them as an accompaniment to some meat.

Personally it's more I can't see why. And it's not so much 'anything that resembles' as 'pretending to be' that sits wrong with me. There's plenty of great veggie food out there .......... why on earth would you go for ersatz meat?

But, hey .......... other people can eat what they like .......... just not for me. :D

Aye, I get your point. But to be angry enough about it to post about it in a thread on a forum about the coronavirus is a bit baffling, no?

I have no issues with veggie burgers, or sausages.

I don't understand vegan chicken wings, or vegan drumsticks that come complete with fake bones...

Also see vegan bacon, and vegan steaks.

I didn't pick up 'angry' ............. maybe meat-eaters sometimes sound a bit more .... erm .......... muscular .......... sometimes ............ :D

You know... Not to derail this thread... But I also don't trust anyone who defends the rights of animals so profoundly, that they say they won't even eat one or anything that comes from one.... But yet they go through so much trouble to make their food taste just like the animals they tell everyone not to eat!!!!

To me that's just disturbing....

That can go both ways :)

I'm not angry about it at all.

Baffled, possibly.

Slightly bored, possibly.

Fundamentally opposed to the attitude that appears to be compulsory to be a vegan, definitely.

There’s nothing wrong with not understanding, though.
