The fly in the ointment is I really don't like the CE4 Atomiser, every review I've read wasn't very good. The supplier is a vender on here and I've Emailed him to see if I can exchange it for a Vivi Nova V5 atomiser.

Lets see what he says, and have I done the right thing?

I was going to go for a Vamo, but I am a little concerned over quality?....I'm a big believer in "you get what you pay for".

Personally, I prefer the CE4 over the Vivi Nova, but the ultimate isthe AGA-T, the flavours and vape you get especially from a SS wick is second to none. Still get a big grin everytime I inhale

I have the VAMO, and think its awesome, compared to my other mods. Admittedly, I have not tried a VMAX. But as with everything, one mans poison is anothers pleasure.

I do intend to try an AGA T (in the future), I've tried a friends and it was good, although I wonder if the air hole could do with drilling out slightly???....I've read it's 0.9mm and the "T" and 1.2mm on the "S", and the "S" gives a better vape apparently?

I kit form, the ZMAX is only £15 or so more than the Vamo.

The S is a different design so it may not just be the air hole.
That's a lot of kit Roger, check the type of the 18650s if you can. If you feel you want to replace them with better quality they will be an extra £10ea at a guess.

Personally I think you've made a wise choice I didn't like the vamo my mate has a zmax and the build quality is better dont worry about the ce4 there only cheap anyway sell it someone on here just my opinion cheers Andy

I hope you don't think me interfering in any way shape or form, having read your deliberation and the comments that follow I wish you to read this ........... A post I read elsewhere regarding the said mod. This is an unbiased post of mine but just an insight to give a heads up of possibilities...

SAFETY WARNING - The new ZMAX from Smoktech

I have had the new ZMAX from Smoktech for a few weeks now and have been testing it and considering bringing it into stock here at ?????? <anonymity.

However, the mod in its current incarnation appears to be extremely unsafe, and my concerns have not been adequately addressed by Smoktech. I can't therefore consider stocking it.

To put it briefly, the ZMAX is both a Variable voltage and variable wattage device, that looks very similar to the VMAX we are already selling. It is capable of running on a dual IMR18350 battery setup, or a single IMR18650 setup - the device automatically recognizes which battery setup you are using based on the voltage it detects - and herein lies the safety issue.

In the VMAX we already have in stock, the device detects if the charge level of your pair of batteries goes below a certain "safe" level and just cuts out if this is the case - thereby making absolutely sure you won't over discharge your batteries and cause them to vent dangerously.

In this new ZMAX device, there is a distinct possibility that the user may insert two over-discharged IMR18350 batteries, that the unit will detect as a single 18650 and continue functioning, thereby further discharging your batteries and definitely setting you up for a venting incident.

In other words - a very dangerous incident waiting to happen.

I raised this issue with Smoktech and they denied that it could happen (in my opinion, wrongly). They suggested we just retail the device with the cap which doesn't allow for nipple-top 18350s. However, the standard cap still allows for flat top 18350s of dubious quality, and in any case, I can't knowingly retail a device with such a serious safety flaw.

I can only strongly advise my customers to avoid this device completely - or at the very least, if you must have one, make sure that that you will only ever use a single IMR18650 in the unit, and will never attempt a stacked battery setup in it, and will not sell it onto anyone else without informing them of this issue.

This safety warning applies to ALL mods that allow the use of either an 18650 or dual 18350s. It does not apply to the VMAX or the Mini ZMAX.

Me again Now this post does not state ZMAX V2 but i State !!!!! does refer to what was posted as THE NEW MODEL?????

Like i stated I am unbiased and anything anyone wants is totally their decision but just be aware any flaws/dangers that could arise, especially if a novice user or someone that cannot/might not fully comprehend what could potentially happen...........

Micky your post was supremely well intentioned and as the not so proud owner of V1 Zmax I understand where you are coming from on this. One vendor, Alba Vapours actually took them off his site when he became aware of thei issues (mainly to do with inaccurate voltages which led to overheating of misers) and refunded customers who had purchased them from him (if only all vendors would do this)
The V2 was a refined and superior version which dealt with the issues with the V1 and as far as I am aware the Sigelei has no problems. I believe OccultScientist can attest to this as he owns the Sigelei.
I think it's perfectly possible with care, proper charging of pairs of batteries, and the right mod, to stack 18350s. Personally I wouldn't. But that's a personal preference from someone who would like to keep both sides of his face. I jest but that's me.
I think in the quote it says New because the Zmax itself was new.

No it did not mention of (it's the V2) and just stated " The New Model "... I simply posted the script as I would hate any of the friendly peeps on this family like Planet, to have any miss-haps in any way with miss use.. or anywhere else for that matter. I am certain that with integrity is a fabulous piece of kit and looks awesome to be fair. I'd have one lol.

Like I said I was the messenger and I sure think that OccultScientist in the event as you stated can attest & will clear any concerns up instantly any concerns anyone may have, Not, that I was aware the Status of members within the POTV as such.
