If you often get sore throat or lungs - READ THIS

Bit hostile in here

I quite agree.

I knew exploding such a widely held myth might get this kind of reaction.

As for me, I get so much enjoyment out of vaping and don't want to see it banned through ignorance. In my view this kind of stupid myth just hands an open goal to the people who are trying to get it banned.

No hostility intended on my part.

I agree with you about the enjoyment of vaping and not wishing to see it get banned through ignorance, which is happening in various places around the world.

But I don't think that PG allergy is a myth.

I haven't said it is.

However, it is far lower than people are trying to present it here. It is being hugely over played as an excuse to avoid all possible criticism against nicotine.

If we don't want vaping to be banned we need to understand how to do it properly and responsibly and not bury heads in the sand and try pushing such a stupid myth. If vaping gets banned that impacts on me and I'm not going to just sit around and watch while supposedly responsible vapers hand the anti vaping lobby such an obvious open goal.

What's wrong here is telling someone who is suffering with soreness in their lungs and throat that nicotine has nothing to do with it.

At no point has anyone stated, or even implied that nicotine has "nothing to do with it".

However, you have repeatedly stated that PG allergy is a myth.

I'm not quibbling about your observations that nicotine can be an irritant, but have a real problem with your casual insistance that PG can't be a problem because it can be purchased without a licence. Just like peanuts, bleach, paint stripper, petrol etc etc.

Actually, your repeated insistance that nicotine is a major problem is far more likely to attract adverse attention from the 'ban it' lobby than acknowledging that PG can be an irritant for some.

Well lets try another tack then.

Away from vaping, how many cases has any of you ever heard of about someone suffering a bad allergic reaction to propylene glycol? I've never heard of one.

PG allergy is not a myth. The myth is how hugely it is over played.

Actually, your repeated insistance that nicotine is a major problem is far more likely to attract adverse attention from the 'ban it' lobby than acknowledging that PG can be an irritant for some.

I'm fully aware of that but you need to properly understand the truth before you can formulate your arguments against any ban.
