If you often get sore throat or lungs - READ THIS

I have a bottle of lime flavoured juice laying around somewhere that I don't use anymore because after a while it causes a burning sensation in my lungs.

And here's one for you - type into any search engine 'propylene glycol allergy' and be amazed by the vast number of hits you get. Not only related to vaping - just getting some on your skin can cause blistering if you have a severe allergy.

Just because you don't suffer from something, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

So in other words you can't find a single such post on this forum.

In contrast I just did what you asked and googled propylene glycol allergy. Here is what I found.

https://dermnetnz.org/topics/contact-allergy-to-propylene-glycol

Who gets contact allergy to propylene glycol?

Contact allergy to propylene glycol is relatively uncommon. It is estimated to be present in up to 3.5% of individuals investigated for suspected contact dermatitis. Propylene glycol contact allergy may be more prevalent in atopic patients and other patients with compromised skin (such as stasis dermatitis or hand dermatitis). This is noteworthy, given corticosteroids (a common source of propylene glycol contact allergy) are typically first-line treatment for dermatitis.

"Reletively uncommon" and present in only around 3.5% of people. Doesn't exactly sound like an epidemic.

Nickel allergies. Lower nicotine content and they go away. Wait, that’s a load of bs as well.

is the word “allergy” the problem? i don’t have any doubt people don’t tolerate inhaling PG vapour, but i’m not sure the symptoms people describe are typical of an allergic reaction. i don’t tolerate salt nic very well, and get similar symptoms some seem to get from PG. but i don’t think i’m allergic to it.

I'm not the one spouting BS.

If people are going to make statements then back them up with some EVIDENCE.

How many posts have we all seen on POTV from people having problems like this? And how many times can anyone remember such a post where they didn't have any nicotine in their juice?

I can't remember ANY.

Can heating and vaping other ingredients like PG or certain flavourings cause a problem? YES

Can metals leak into your vape? YES

Is vaping nic free juice completely free of risk? NO

However, the posts on POTV prove that such cases are far more RARE compared to the problems people report when vaping nicotine.

That's why no-one has managed to find a single post from anyone reporting soreness vaping nic free juice.

All I've seen is people clutching at straws. It's the PG, it's the flavour or it's because they saw a black cat while walking under a ladder.

So come on. Prove me wrong and lets see your evidence.

I recently bought 3 shortfills to try from a new (to me) supplier, all 3 made me cough, I m not calling it an allergic reaction, btw I always test my juices before I add nic.

I’m going to say that one must acknowledge that
not ALL nicotine is equal. From bitter experience we won’t touch nicotine from one particular source, but that’s as far as I am prepared to say.
