What's new

I'm getting fed up mixing.

Glad you've finally cracked it @doobiesnax , don't fancy sharing your recipes by any chance? :18:

I'm still trying to find something "amazing". I've been lucky in that I've never thrown anything out (apart from one made with TFA Watermelon which i found out is the chemical warfare edition) but they have all been lacking something or just a bit wishy-washy.

I did find a recipe on e-liquid that is pretty good - Snake Blood but its so sweet to me i couldn't have more than a couple of toots, let alone vape all day!

I'm going to persevere and try to make something decent myself.
I think it will be a rewarding hobbie once I produce a liquid I'm happy with.
It's a bit like Street Fighter V or golf the more you do it the better you get. (unless you get rag dolled 10 games in a row at SFV and take an 8 at the first hole in golf)

You should follow @doobiesnax advice and start with flavour art flavours. You can get them cheap on chef’s flavours as flavour creative or dark star as dark arts.

Oooooookk....so, I’ve made plenty of frustrated posts and comments about having NO luck with D.I.Y ......plenty of times I’ve wanted to give up (gave up smoking 1st January this year, started mixing about 1st February (?)
I thought it made perfect sense to make my own juice, considering how much cheaper it should be.....spent silly money on any bloody fruit flavour that ‘sounded nice’ from any manufacturer with disappointment after disappointment!
I finally decided to stick with JUST FlavourArt flavours, and decided to spend some money researching what is on the market pre made, and try to actually get an idea of what I like and don’t like...I like fruits, I hate any other vape but fruits, so, that makes it both easier and more difficult.
I made my first GREAT vape by replicating a simple kiwi/lyche mix. Took lots of 5ml attempts to get the mix just right.
I got to grips with fa’s %’s, and soon started more complex mixes, and after a lot of fails, I made my second cracking mix, I’ve now made three I ABSOLUTELY love, more than ANY shop bought mix I’ve tried, and far better than ANY ONE SHOT (I’ve not found any oneshots I like, and I’ve bought pretty much 70% of the fruit one shots on chefsflavours!

It takes TIME, MONEY AND PATIENCE,....no easy fix unless you get really lucky (and I don’t think that’s possible tbh.) notes, trial and error, more notes, more money and you’ll get there fa sure!

Would you please consider sharing your recipes? I prefer fruit flavours too.

No reason other than they are very good, highly concentrated and most of them work at least ok as single flavours.

I also meant to ask , why can chef's flavours and dark star sell flavour art concentrate cheaper than flavour art?

I did a post a few weeks ago https://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/...hreads/favourite-simple-fruit-recipes.158221/
I’ve listed the four I love there :)

As I mentioned above, they are at the end of that thread. Seriously, if you love fruit the latest apple one is omg to die for, I just want to chug it all day long! It’s been mixed three days now, and the kiwi is coming through a bit more, the Apple is dying off slightly and for some reason it has become sweeter? Please please, let me know what you think if you make them, I’d LOVE to know what others think of them!

What's the reason behind just using flavour art?
Partly because they are all the same sort of strength, so it’s easier to gauge a mix percentage (max of around 10-12% with fa, some other brands I’ve mixed at 20% and got less flavour ( and if you want to mix different brands, it’s far harder to gauge an overall percentage

Also, of all the 80 or so fruit flavours I’ve bought so far, FA seem to be the most consistently accurate flavour (for the flavour they are supposed to be)

You might think ‘why pay £3.50 for 10mls of blackberry when another company does a blackberry for £2 for 30mls......quality not quantity. Like I said, I’ve tried most brands and now will only mix with fa.
