Is my Vape Journey Finally Over

Are you vaping 12mg in the Profile or MTL? That's pretty strong to me either way, I vape 1mg DTL & 3.5mg MTL & found that to be a good level for me, any weaker & I'd be chain vaping all day

You'll probably find if you cut down, you'd vape more

The wife and I cut out nic in the first 6 months and now it’s purely habit there is No addiction so today I haven’t touched my vape! I woke at 5:30 and it’s now 11:30 so 6 hrs and I prob won’t use it until I go out in a couple of hrs but I won’t be giving up as I’ll always keep kit just to be sure that I’m not tempted back to old ways!
Whatever works for you is the way forward.

As others have said, don’t sweat it. If you want to pack it up then do. If you want to drop the nicotine down then do. If it doesn’t work then revert.

Remember, vaping is supposed to be a smoking cessation tool. We should all, in theory, arrive at a point where we end our vape journey!

If you can drop your nic strength, without increasing the amount you vape to compensate you might be onto something.
If you find yourself vaping more then you might be more dependent than you think.

Nothing to be lost either way, as long as you do not get rid of all your gear.
If you feel like you could stop then give it a go. Or drop your nic while you think about stopping and see what happens.

People do stop vaping, and/or give up nicotine.
Other people try and fail.
You will only know which you are if you try.

Thanks guys, i have loads of liquid that's 12mg so at the rate i vape atm that's gonna last me a good while, when i am in bed i wake up quite often through the night and vape like it's going out of fashion but through the day it's totally different. Don't get me wrong i enjoy vaping especially if it's a favourite juice but it's like my head is saying i don't need it but my body disagrees , i will attempt to drop down to 6mg , last time i tried dropping from 18mg to 3mg and quite honestly struggled at 3mg so popped back up too 12mg and was quite content, maybe my body is saying look you don't need 12mg. What i can't work out is why through the night i am vaping so much but not through the day, maybe it's because my mind is more occupied during the day, saying that my head never switches off, when it's quiet i think about stuff more accounting for me waking up and vaping.

I would just see where it goes, if you quit, excellent. If you don't, its not such a bad thing :)

Hold on to your vape gear when you try just so there is no temptation to go and buy a pack of cigs.
Good Luck :2thumbsup:

Hey

Go with the flow matey. Whatever you decide we are here

I too have days where im chain vaping mtl with pods and then other days where i take the occasional Puff, so i can relate.

See how you go over the coming few days

I’ve gotta be honest @LordOdin I’d proceed with caution.

I sacked off cigarettes 5 years ago in favour of vaping, did the obligatory 18mg to 12, then 6 (when the sub ohming became a thing), then 3. I then went on to try vaping zero Nic a while back, but got nothing from it so went back to 3mg.

Then mid last year I knocked it on the head totally. Stopped altogether for a good few months. But one thing led to another and I had a meltdown, I mean a real meltdown. Proper rattle out of the pram shit. Issue was although I’d kept the hardware I had no VG and no mixed juice, and I REALLY needed some nicotine. So I ended up going to a petrol station and paying through the nose for some generic shite to get me out the pooh pooh.

I think what all the possibly unnecessary garble was leading up to was that I think a smoker to a vaper is a feasible transition and one that is easy to make. The next step to becoming nothing at all, when you’ve spent a large portion of your life doing something, is more difficult imo. But if you’re ready , then hell yes - go for it. But I thought I was too, and I wasn’t, and truth be told don’t think I ever will be.

Tl;dr don’t run out of something then try to stop.
