We’ve got a cluster of cases not far from me. The problem is, unless these regional lockdowns are implemented quickly, and with some sort of Government clarity for people, they’re too late. While they’re considering it, the virus is merrily doing its thing unchecked. Too little, too late, as per usual.

The other problem is that lockdowns won't do anything if people ignore them. I think it's important to remember that the virus isn't just running around on it's own, it's people that are spreading it. We should have got rid of this by now with the lockdown we've had already, if it can't spread it can't survive.

It'll be the same here in Liverpool no doubt with the thousands upon thousands of football fans congregating at Anfield and the city centre over the weekend.

This is why i get pissed with people especially the under 40's. They where the majority of folks protesting, cramming beaches and the likes. Sadly it's the older folks more so the over 50's and people with medical issues that will suffer ie the parents and grand parents of the under 40's. Just watch the count rise now its been 2 weeks or more since the protesting.
You know what will come next lockdown, severe punishments for those breaking the rules or the army on the streets to round up those breaking curfew.

The sooner the better imho. No more mamby pamby advisories from the gov. Do as your fuckin told or face the consequences. Sadly I feel the way the government have handled all this was to not enforce these lockdown rules in law, but to rely on the sensible nature of the Britidh public to adhere to the guidelines.
There was the problem, a good percentage of our population dont seem to be able, or even bothered to understand just how severe this pandemic is. There seems to be a blame culture......blame everyone else other than themselves.

It's a problem when you have a PM who believes in the fairytale of Hurd immunity, with COVID, and the infallibility of his superior genes.. He, and they, don't care. They are prepared to let 1000s get ill and possibly die.

think about this, if you're sceptical. The gov has allowed more people to die. Than the number of British civilians throughout WW2. And that just COVID. 1.5 times the number killed in WW2, have died as a result of Austerity under the Tory and coalition govs. It doesn't fill you with confidence, at all. That they do not have the will, never mind the competence, to help anyone but themselves.
