He has now turned on frontline NHS staff, blaming them for misusing PPE.

So it has begun, we have seen this before with the firefighters at Grenfell, these fkin low life ministers have absolutely no shame and will stop at nothing to shift the blame away from themselves.

Lets be clear what he is doing here, a Tory government cabinet minister for health deflecting blame to hide their own inadequacies onto the very people on the frontline at a time of crisis.

Selfish bastard....am I surprised, yes I am, not that he is doing this , but doing it now...ffs.

Not sure this is exactly what's been said and I'll stand corrected if I'm wrong.
I thought it was kind of reiterated that the ppe should be used responsibly.
Seems that statement has been construed to imply.

Didn’t he say we should all be using it only where needed - and usage it only where needed so there is enough for the most important places?

He did in fact - I watched it.

Context is important!

My wife's department still doesn't have adequate PPE supplies.

Central distribution hubs are full of PPE.

Irrespective of the topic of this thread, Hancock is ultimately responsible for the fucking woeful distribution going on. How many more doctors, nurses and ancillary staff have to die before he does his fucking job?

I wouldn't be sitting here ill now if the wife have been given protection. Her department wouldn't have been running at 45% staffing levels had they had PPE.

It's so fucking ridiculous it's beyond being described as a joke, it's rank ineptitude and corporate fucking manslaughter. Matt Hancock is a hopeless, useless cunt.

He is clearly suggesting that it is being overused by staff....the very staff frightened and claiming there is indeed not enough of it, by his suggestion he deflects blame onto staff claiming they are inappropriately using PPE in the wrong areas and too much of it. https://www.edinburghlive.co.uk/news/edinburgh-news/matt-hancock-slammed-after-urges-18078965

Therefore not his fault.

The question is of course who you choose believe clinicians on he frontline or politicians.

Don’t get me wrong - I’m in no way suggesting that more doesn’t need to be done - it clearly does and quick.

I’m not defending Hancock’s handling of the situation either, it needs sorting - but I am defending the right to say something without it being twisted round.

I’m just concerned about the language being used everywhere at present to color things in a certain way - for me personally at the minute the language used and facts need to be very clear so this doesn’t dissolve into an even more massive shit show. This is especially important with the press - and in turn how we then see and pass on what’s been said by dint of how a particular journalist or paper has twisted things that have been said to color it for the waiting hungry recipients.

now more than ever it is important the press and everyone is truthful and not used for partisan reasons - this shit is bigger than tories, labor or any other party or country wide division.

to me it didn’t read he was blaming staff at all - he was saying it’s a precious resource and it needs to be used appropriately in the correct places - which is true - the fucker does need to make sure it gets to those places though I totally agree.

Agree with @ZT's post - it perhaps only looks like he's shifting the blame if you're aiming to blame him in the first place. It's the nature of the 'blame game'?

Next, he'll be talking about the colored folk.
