mech questions

Thanks so as for the CDR so if you go for 35a you want to keep it under 30a just to be safe?
Not only is it about safety but also battery sag. The closer you get to a battery's limits and the more stress you put it under the greater the sag will be.

The bonza definitely,
If anybody sneers at your choice of mod or questions you ask then it's because they're arrogant tossers, not because they're mech users.

Absolutely nothing wrong with using an unregulated device with protections. It's a great way to dip your toes. I have the Armor and it's a decent mod. The Pico Squeeze is one of the most popular mods and by far the best bang for buck in squonking.

Many regulated devices come with bypass mode for those who want to dabble with unregulated power and appropriate coil building.

Yeah, i didn't mean to imply that mech users are tossers - but i did meet some people who definitely thought of them as "more elitist" because they were using mech tubes, rather than chipped mods. Again, was just meant as a disclaimer, elitists exists everywhere. :)

Good tip in regards to the bypass mode actually, i'll dig out me good old Invoke 220 tomorrow and try out coil/wire configs to get where i'd like to be on the Armor. It's just that the Armor is considerably prettier than most my other mods. :P

Not so long back many mech users had a kick which regulated the voltage, evolve developed it and it had a cutout at about 15w I think (can't remember never used one) the nemesis mech had a seperate ring especially so this module would fit. I use mechs all the time and my daily is a Pico squeeze. Bollox to anyone that comes at you and is elitist about how you vape. It's a bloody good way to learn the 'craft' and better than blowing your face off. Regulating mechs is part of our history in many ways, always wanting to step away from torch tubes and makes things safer and better. (I'm a little drunk so this is probably waffle at this point but I know what I'm getting at) [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

It is a nice mod. Nice feel. Very snug fit for the battery.

Damn that's the setup i wanna run, i just don't know 100% if i want a black berserker or a golden one on top (the tube looked pretty cool with a golden RDA, from what i've seen from pictures).

Sidenote, i usually use tanks that have both AFC and JFC, the berserker doesn't have JFC iirc - is this setup as is pocket-able?

I always carry it in my pocket. It's one of the main reasons I love tube shaped mods. The Ehpro 101 with nautilus 2 was my daily beater until I tested the VIM which has retired the nautilus 2. The Ehpro 101 now has a berserker mini on top. And the Armor obviously has the full size berserker. Both are super easy to carry around and pocket friendly.

You are correct, there's no jfc on the berserker. Not a lot of kit has jfc these days. Personally, I never found it to be a useful feature. I always had jfc wide open irrespective of what kit it was on.

I was going to order the Mod 101 for my Kayfun Prime, and use it that way outside - that's when i found out about the Armor Prime, hehe. In regards to JFC, i use it on the Kayfun all the time - got used to it after using first a Nautilus 2 that just constantly leaked (had one of those) and a Siren 2 that sometimes did the same. Although on the Siren, partially that might've been my fault, it was finicky to build properly.

Are you running exotic coils in the berserker (since it came with two of those, afaik), or micros? I'm actually sorry to kinda hijack the topic a little bit, just a bit excited about the setup hehe. Always better to talk to people than watching a reviewer, learned that the hard way.

Absolutely love my Mod 101, looks great with any 22mm atty on top.

I've always had the jfc wide open on all my kayfuns. Rather than adjusadjusting the jfc I prefer to adjust my wicking with a bit more cotton for thinner juices. Siren 2 is also a great tank. Very good flavour. I haven't had any leaking issues but I know a few on here have.

As for coil choice, I use fused claptons or simple single strand micro coils. 26 or 28 gauge. The mtl fused claptons I use are 2 x 30ga / 38ga.
