My next mod will be brass with exotic wood scales.......I am hunting for a cheap secondhand beefy pillar drill first though.

Interestingly, you dont mention the temp that you are vaping at...I suspect it is very low.

I did, twice actually. 200-230 ^oC.

I get the impression that you think I'm doing it wrong, but I think we just have different preferences.

As I posted already, after reading tubbyengineer's AF explanation I opened up the Billow to max AF and I did observe that 25 W no longer cut it, 40 W was much better, and now I get it. I'm just not a big fan of high AF, that's all. For my current vaping style and AF preferences, I find 20-30 W better than 40 W. I find the coil hits temp no problem and I get a smooth, flavourful vape with plenty (but not too much) vapour. I'm really enjoying using TC this way. I just wanted to know why some people like much more power (and now I do).
