Hi & Firstly thank you for taking the time to read this & maybe offer your advise which will be greatly recieved :)
I recently bought a Rev GTS 230w mod with a Nunchaku 0.25Ohm tank.. The problem is even though the instruction manual tells you how to change settings is dosent tell you what the settings/modes are used for? I don't really want to change things i don't know about & it's just sitting there & i'm eager to use it :) So if there's anyone who can give me detailed instructions i'd be deeply in your debt :)
Thank you & i hope someone can help?
Kind Regards
Keith

Quite an old mod in the vaping world but that's neither here nor there. Start off having a look at these reviews and maybe come back if you have any specific questions.

Thanks for the reply John :) I looked at all the vids & they seem to be older versions of my firmware & different menus tbh? They don't really explain what the settings are for & thats what i'm stuck on? Theres VPC(variable power curve) i think i know that 1 but not 100% sure & VTC(variable temp control) defo not sure on that 1 tbh? Theres also TCR M1 M2 M3 M4 M5? Not to sure if there memory slots for say different tanks, coils? On a lot of the settings like VTC & VPC They ask about your coil 304 or 316? I really appreciate your help John R & hoping if you or anyone else can clarify the settings i've mentioned please?
Thank you & Kind Regards
Keith

TCR M1 etc are memory slots for entering custom TCR's. VPC lets you set a power curve, bit like preheat, starting high power then stepping down through the vape to try to get consistent draw. Not sure on VTC as don't have it on any mods I own.

TC is for temperature controlled vaping with coils capable of doing so. For a new vaper I'd just stick to wattage. As nwhornet says the M1-5 slots are for storing the metal information for temp control coils not preset. 304 and 316 are grades of stainless steel.

as said, ignore everything except for power / wattage mode.
on the coil itself or the box will show the ohm of the coil and a range. if it shows 20-40w / 50-110w or whatever then that is the wattage range so these coils should be used in wattage/power mode only.

if the box and coil states Ni200 this is nickel coil and must only be used in TC temp control.
same with Ti which is titanium coil and for TC setting only.

SS stainless steel is different as it can be used in both wattage and TC mode.

tbh after 4 years of vaping and with over 25 mods with TC on them i still only use wattage.
tried TC once or twice and just too much faff so went back to wattage.

prime coil - screw in - fill up tank - start on at least half the wattage you would normally vape at to help bed the coil in and turn up a couple of watts at a time - vape and enjoy.

I tend to ignore many of the settings and just stick with wattage mode. I just read the recommended wattage on the stock coil and set it around that and vape away.

Hi @Truesaint as the others have said just stick to wattage mode. I have the Rev GTS and it is a great mod reliable and easy to use and a lot of customization options. Have fun with it.

Thank you Everyone for your input it's been most helpful I've been fiddling over the weekend & i've worked out how to use the VPC mode So i'm sticking with that & the things a beast of a mod it's now making clouds i can't see threw with minimal effort & it's so so smooth so i'll be leaving the temp alone So again thanks to each n everyone of you for your help
Kind Regards
Keith

What's vpc? Only thing I can think of is variable power control. Am I close as never heard of that setting.
