Pfizer given protection from legal action by UK government

England is 21% of the population that won't have the vaccine, France, however, is 46% Spain 36% but these nations won't be getting the vaccine till next year for me its a no brainer, I've seen covid and what it does, if you walked past an ITU Or Hdu you would roll your sleeve up

Any possible adverse effects from a vaccine has to be balanced against real risks from the virus.

Nope, I have replied 4 or 5 times now........ as to why this would be the time, it's in the news, it's being reported everywhere, would you rather it is not a good time to "let them know"?
when would be a good time?

the problem is also how it is being reported. irresponsible scaremongering.

I'm thinking if taking it how long can we expect it to last for.
If it's estimated at six months at least thats a start but if it's only a couple of months we could be falling for a false sense of security so there is a genuine need to know at least a ball park figure.

“The level of sterilising immunity provided by natural infection or immunisation is not yet fully understood. Data on the level of sterilising immunity provided by natural infection should be available from the SIREN study and the Oxford Health Care Worker study before the end of the year. Data on the level of sterilising immunity provided by immunisation should be available from some vaccine studies before the end of the year.”

8. The length of immunity conferred by natural infection or vaccination is currently not
known. Waning immunity is believed to partly underlie the propensity for other
coronaviruses to reinfect after 1-2 years. Studies on MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV
found waning antibody levels over this time period. Reinfections with seasonal
coronaviruses occurs frequently at 12 months, sometimes as early as 6 months but
not within three months. Therefore, based on the variability in the data and
differential responses in the population we conservatively estimate that a protective
immune response after SARS-CoV-2 infection or vaccination may last for 90 days
(moderate confidence).

at least they are nigh on admitting to using the elderly in care homes as guinea pigs in #7

7. Current data from clinicalvaccine trials demonstrates protection from disease but there is currently no information on the effects on viral load or impact on transmission. During vaccine roll-out, there is an important opportunity to gather immunological and viral load data to assess the impact of vaccination on transmission in settings such as care homes. This would enable us to establish better correlates on sterilizing and disease modifying immunity and increase confidence in the concept of a vaccine based immunity certificate

Does this "During vaccine roll-out, there is an important opportunity to gather immunological and viral load data to assess the impact of vaccination on transmission in settings such as care homes"
Suggest while undergoing vaccination it's possible to transmit Covid?

to be honest it confirms they haven't got a fucking clue in my mind
(to be fair though - who really actually does have all the answers)
originally I thought you added the:

(moderate confidence) bit yourself as sarcasm
until I looked, nope they say it more than once

90 days - see you again in 3 months then if we have another potential spike
why not try a different one this time with a little more increased confidence

and you could be immune but still transmit it anyway - it is not impossible
