The devil makes work for idle hands and I'm not at work today so I decided to test out my home made series box.
Twisted messes, 0.15ohm dual 20g coils, 18650series box. Fully charged paired VTC4s.
They lasted about 45 minutes before I got twitchy and put them back in the charger. The voltmeter reading 5.2v when fired. They were slightly warm but nothing to concern myself about. The box itself was only transmission warm from the atomiser.
I'm aware that the coil resistance means I'm overworking the batteries a little.
Put a pair of brand new LG HE4s in next. 10 minutes. That was enough. I only do 1-2 second toots max on the twisted. I don't have any cloud chasing technique so that's my lot.
Pulled the batteries.....and they were almost to hot to handle!!!
Considering how much work I made the VTC4s do, I was a bit surprised at just how toasty the LGs got in such a short time.
Take home lesson....don't be a dick Alan, trust the specs and respect your equipment.
