Not bad for a first attempt.

Put it back on the coiling rod and use the 3mm winding piece with the screw in it (that I presume you used to wind it with) to push the coil against the handle to close up those uneven gaps.

Or, put it on the rod and slip a thumbnail from each hand inside the legs and pull the coil apart so it's overspaced, then use the winding piece to push it back together until it is only slightly but evenly spaced.

Ooh lots of toys to play with!

Don't rush though, get the RDA up and running on a regulated mod first. :)

When I measured the resistance on the build when it was just the coils it was reading 0.2, then when I’d pulsed it a bit it was reading 0.32 and now with the cotton in it’s reading 0.5. Which is the most accurate reading?

Were the coils glowing evenly? Those 2 24g nichrome coils should be closer to 0.3 than to 0.5.

Nichrome does tend to read low when first installed, but it should settle after bedding the coils in (pulsing, squeezing, strumming) and should not change when the cotton is pushed through.

Have you watched any tutorials yet?

I’ve put the RDA in a regulated mod and it’s reading 0.31 so happy with that.

Yeah watched loads of tutorials and pulsed the coils, squeezed them together and strummed them until they were glowing evenly
