You only have to input awg OR mm, they are just different ways of measuring the same thing.

4.2 is the standard for all battery's we use from 18350, 18650, 20700 and 21700

So is the Max. continuous discharge current on these batteries always 35A or is this something that changes?

Batteries are not always what they claim to be.
Good batteries get faked, or rewrapped and false claims get made about CDR and Mah.

You should only buy cells from trusted vendors like fogstar.
Mooch is the guru we all trust to test cells and tell us how they really perform.
You should be checking his charts and graphs while choosing the best cells for your use. Search "mooch" on the forum
You should also check out his youtube channel search "minding your mahs" and "minding your mechs" if you really want to understand using mechs safely.
