Very true.

Mitz posted a link to English vaccine figures I alluded to above.
Figures on vaccine take up in Scotland by age are here https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-53511877
Reliable facts are what matter.
"Young people can't be bothered says vaccinator" on a youtube vid is a bit click baity for me.

I did ask what you thought and I thought your answer was interesting... so I appreciated it really. :)

Personally, I don't believe it has anything at all to do with laziness. IMHO it's down to a combination of misinformation, disinformation, and concern after the lengthy and vocal global onslaught about potential negative side effects. And simply time.

Many have, and still are, being vaccinated despite being the lowest risk category for complications from the virus. Vaccinations have slowed, they haven't stopped. They're still dishing out over 30k first doses every day across England in the data up until Friday.

Misinformation works both ways though. The completely safe vaccine not being completely safe is a factor in some people's thoughts. Someone I went to school with didn't have it because of the constant side effects being found, changing of age parameters of who to give it to etc. Eventually they decided it was no longer worth the risk given the information about it kept changing.

That is only one example I have come across but that will filter across the country , especially to the young.

I personally have reservations about the still unknown long term effects of the vaccine. My wife won't have another one after she had her two because she had side effects that has led her to being on medication now, simply as a precautionary measure until all other avenues are ruled out. That again only came about months later , with the btw this seems to be a side effect.

Now I'd still argue having a jab because the data literally proves its effectiveness but there will be more not having it because of the side effects after it being rendered safe than simply anti vaxers. My wife in hindsight is one of them.

Long covid has been a pretty general term that dismisses one thing, most of the symptoms of it are actually effects of pneumonia. Go and look it up , was a eye opener when I read up about it.

So long covid as a fear term is extremely misleading, the long covid symptoms generally will never be as bad as someone in hospital and that latter one is dropping all the time.

But anxiety , insomnia and depression are not side effects of a bloody virus. That is Molly coddling people to an extreme.
This. Covid numbers are being "fluffed". Pneumonia, COPD and such are being added to the numbers. Why? Because the government provisions have been fucking woefull. You've all heard about the PPE bollocks, but that doesn't even scratch the surface of the NHS's problems.

However:
I work in a hospital lab (someone has to sort and label your piss), and I'm gonna tell you all something from my perspective: if you are physically/mentally able to get the jabs and you don't, you should do the world a favour and go live in the sea. Don't worry though!!lol!!! Your magical thinking will create gills for you. It'll magically provide food and entertainment. You won't need to be given two little needle pricks to make sure that EVERYONE around you has SOME protection against a virus.

Covid causes (a type of) pneumonia though - I thought doctors had long since worked out the differences between them?

but why would this make them want to inflate the numbers? surely they’d want to minimise them?
