Silica fogger v4

Okay so I never really got over my fear of cotton and now I've got a fogger on the way every build I see anywhere is cotton. Is there a decent silica build anywhere? I'm guessing replicating the cotton builds with 3mm silica will work okay, but I'm just curious if anyone has any advice.

I don't see any reason you couldn't make it work with silica, just lead the tails into the top of the juice channels. 3mm may be a bit fat, though, and replacing the wicks after a dry burn could be fiddly.

As long as it doesn't gunk up too quickly I'll likely recoil when rewicking. I've some finer wick too.

I guess I can play about, maybe construct some kind of quad navy nest.

You are probably going to want 1 mm or 2mm ekowool or voodoowool to do this, you need to get the wick into the top of the juice channels otherwise the fogger will flood.

Interestingly I rebuilt one of my drippers using 2.5mm voodoowool @0.7 ohms last night, and I think it was a superior vape than what I had been getting with cotton wool.#

I do believe I have some 1mm ekowool somewhere in the collection. So that might be the best bet. I'll give it a try anyway and let you know how I get on when I get the fogger.

With 1mm it might be worth going almost to the bottom of the channels and try it with a bit of juice. At least a dry hit aint going to be as shit as a cotton wick, and you dont want it to leak!

Lol, I wondered where you had been. Yeah, I had my birthday last month and splurged all my money on vape gear. Made lots of mistakes and learnt loads in the last month or so!
