Started using TC mode and not getting much flavour

You're in danger of overthinking this. Just use the mod in Power mode while you experiment.

That's what my wife always says. I get into research about things rather than keeping it simple and getting on with it

No, just the Aegis and the Dicodes.

All temp control really means is that you are setting the temp of the coil max.
Normal vaping rules remain.
You need to play about with watts n temp setting to achieve a good vape.
example if you set the temp to 300f and watts to 60w, your mod will reach that temp fast n may cut out cos the temp has been reached quickly.
Start low n work your way up using both settings.

I just read that VG vapourises at 290C. The Dicodes only goes to 280C. I assume in power mode the coil gets hotter than that as you keep the fire button pressed. Maybe that's why I'm getting muted flavour with 70/30 liquids?
I think you’re mixing up the boiling point with the flash point (start of vapor production). The flash point for Vg is 160 C, if I remember correctly… I suspect your muted flavor may be do to wicking problems, but what do I know!

I have set the watts down to 45W but the temp is at 280C to get some flavour going. It's says it's using 35-36 watts to get that coil temperature.

At the risk of making a total twat of myself here I think the problem is more basic. You are using a DL Deck with really skinny roundwire - if you look at your first pic the coil is basically only covering half of the deck/air inlet holes so half of the air coming unto the chamber is doing nothing but diluting the flavour. If you get it perfectly spaced so it covers all of the air inlet it may be a bit better but skinny roundwire doesn't give the coil to cotton contact to produce the same amount of vapour as a complex coil

If you are looking for similar cloud production and flavour as you get from a fused clapton at 50 Watts I don't think you'll ever get it from thin wire. Personally I would try spaced 24ga or 26ga single SS316L Claptoned wire, or, if you want to stick with roundwire I'd go for spaced 24ga SS316L, prefetably 3mm diameter in a GT4.

I get the impression that 0.28 Resistotherm (28ga) is aimed at gentlemen vapers who like a more sedate low powered vape and although it is probably just the ticket for respectable MTL/RDL vaping, DL chavs like me would be better off using it to tie up bin bags.

I think you need to use thicker or more complex wire that fills up the build deck properly, gives decent coil to cotton contact and produces a respectable amount of vapour in a DL stylie. If you decide to try SS316L I'd just build above 0.30 Ohms, tell the board what temperature you want and let that expensive, sophisticated chipset do the heavy thinking. I don't have any dicodes mods but have never had any problems using that method with a DNA mod.

I am sure my wicking could be better. This was my attempt today and the flavour is a bit improved.

That’s a whole lot of wraps, you have there. And, from the look of it, a fare bit is missing the airflow.
9 wraps is two or three more than I’d wrap, for MTL. As a result I’d suggest taking at least one step down, in AWG and drop wraps to 6/7. That should work fine TC.
Can’t help thinking you muted flavour may be, at least partially, down to that. It also deprives the wraps, not in the airflow, of cooling air too.
