What's new

Still no delivery from myepack!

I was lucky the postmaster told me about the half day the day before so we could get a note up on the site about the early cut off. I checked on RM's site for dates and times about the holiday hours and the info was there but not prominent like the last recommended posting info for Christmas is.

I thought the majority of vendors were closed till the 2nd tbh

I had the same issue, because I was so busy over the Christmas and NY period I did extra postal runs that were not advertised and only found out on NYE that the last post was Saturday timed - as I dropped the parcels off at 3:30 because they advertised closing at 4pm. It is ridiculous that they never seem to know what the hell is happening from counter to counter and from RM themselves and this can reflect badly on vendors when infact they do what they can to exceed expectation.

I completely understand, I just don't like the fact I can't get in touch with anyone myepack

@sxlxp If this was sent as next day guaranteed then in theory you should recieve it today at some point, as there were no deliveries on New Years day. At times like Christmas there could still be a backlog of stuff to sort out at some sorting offices, any first class stuff and RMSD stuff will take priority over what gets done first. I have in the past had stuff delivered late or the odd thing gone missing, it can be a right pita but hey such is life. I worked in an MLO for 11years, and always say to those that complain, go take a look inside a big delivery office at peak time or at Christmas, it is a real eye opener as to the volume of stuff that passes through. The problem we have in this day and age is that we can order something instantly, but then everybody wants it delivered straight away and think they are the only person on the planet which that company or delivery service is dealing with, life ain`t like that unfortunately. I am not taking a pop at you @@sxlxp but these things happen and there is no point in getting wound up about it as all it does is raise the blood pressure, life is too short. And as mentioned if you have a problem and contact Ash he will sort it for you.

In my opinion Royal Mail 'next day delivery' is a complete waste of money. I had the free postage with mine and received it next day. The problem is almost certainly with Royal Mail.

Sent from my Nexus 4 using Planet of the Vapes mobile app

u8myufo oh I know you're not taking a pop my dear, and you're right, I should cut them some slack but hey I'm impatient lol. We have no b&m shop anywhere near so I have to order online. There's one little stall in my shopping centre that sells the basic ego setup and juices, but that's it.

The other thing I should say is that my order from myepack didn't turn up this morning, but it is being sent 1st class signed for, so I wasn't expecting it too, taking the NY break into consideration. On the bright side, my XXXXL onesie has been delivered, so together with my Doc Marten shoes, I am officially HOT TO TROTT! :D

Ok hey! We have rules and this is getting ready to cross them.

Royal Mail is bogged down thanks to... Oh yeah Christmas and New Years!

It's one thing to be upset a package didnt arrive (during a holiday no less) but that wouldn't be myepacks fault. Also, if they are running a holiday schedule, then you cant really be upset if you cant contact anyone.

I hate to point out the obvious but impatience on your part is not MyEPacks fault either. :P You need to take into account Royal Mail, MyEPack's holiday schedule and whether or not your package is being delivered later due to RM's complete fiasco as a postal company ;)

So it works like this.

Head over here http://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/forums/showthread.php/23518-New-Rules-for-Posting-Negative-Reviews write up your complaint, following our rules. But really?

Sub post offices are independently owned so they can dictate their own opening hours, it's only Crown offices (main offices) that aren't. No POs can dictate what time the postman comes to collect special deliveries, signed for or even just the normal post collection from the office though, they have to be open for that. So if the postman was coming at 1pm sub post offices can close anytime after that, but not before. They could stay open til 6pm but your special delivery won't go if it's missed the post collection.

Royal Mail have been horrendous for us too over the past week.

I have had several customers contact us asking where stuff is - some of it got posted on the 27th December.

We got caught out with the Saturday last collection time on NYE too (was that advertised ANYWHERE?) and while we pride ourselves on sending things out as fast as possible and often squeeze in extra post runs after our cutoff point so our customers get things the next day for a lot of people who've ordered from us over the past week or so delivery times have sucked and it's all completely out of our control :(

If your order was ordered NYE and it was posted after midday it'll turn up tomorrow as they closed for NY day with no collections at all so anything posted after cutoff (1st class, signed for, special delivery etc) won't have left the depot at all until this morning and so won't be delivered until tomorrow.

really RM NDD you are actually paying for the fact its insured. 1st class at best comes in at the value of a few stamps. recorded upto around £40 and signed for ( which is your NDD service) covers upto currently i think £500. and that is what you pay for more than anything else. 1st class is next day but no guarantee and no tracking, recorded has tracking after delivery and should be signed for but can be 1-3 days. signed for is next day has to be signed ( though rarely do i sign for anything postie always makes excuse scanner not working ) and is guaranteed against loss.
its actually not worth having it sent signed for unless its over say £50. anything up to that may as well have sent recorded. still could be worse.. could be singapore post lol
