What's new

Still no delivery from myepack!

The other thing I should say is that my order from myepack didn't turn up this morning, but it is being sent 1st class signed for, so I wasn't expecting it too, taking the NY break into consideration. On the bright side, my XXXXL onesie has been delivered, so together with my Doc Marten shoes, I am officially HOT TO TROTT! :D

Don`t post pictures, please.... I`ll pay you not to. :grin2:

In my opinion Royal Mail 'next day delivery' is a complete waste of money. I had the free postage with mine and received it next day. The problem is almost certainly with Royal Mail.

Sent from my Nexus 4 using Planet of the Vapes mobile app

If you want it next day then in the majority of cases it is not a waste of time. With any item it depends where it is from, where it has to go to and what process it has to go through to get there. I am not sure how things are managed nowadays in any sorting office so cannot really comment too much. life would be great if we posted it from one location and it whent in a straight line to the destination, in some instances it does not work like that. Stuff get`s sent by road and rail, delays happen with both for whatever reason and it has a knock on effect. The quickest and a guaranteed way to get it delivered is to shove it in a letterbox with no stamp on it, that will get picked up straight away and will not get lost as there will be an easy money maker for them with the handling charge :D

Oooohhh! A challenge! This is like blackmail in reverse! Name the amount, if it is acceptable and in used nonconsecutive notes, we may have a deal.... :D

@sxlxp If this was sent as next day guaranteed then in theory you should recieve it today at some point, as there were no deliveries on New Years day. At times like Christmas there could still be a backlog of stuff to sort out at some sorting offices, any first class stuff and RMSD stuff will take priority over what gets done first. I have in the past had stuff delivered late or the odd thing gone missing, it can be a right pita but hey such is life. I worked in an MLO for 11years, and always say to those that complain, go take a look inside a big delivery office at peak time or at Christmas, it is a real eye opener as to the volume of stuff that passes through. The problem we have in this day and age is that we can order something instantly, but then everybody wants it delivered straight away and think they are the only person on the planet which that company or delivery service is dealing with, life ain`t like that unfortunately. I am not taking a pop at you @@sxlxp but these things happen and there is no point in getting wound up about it as all it does is raise the blood pressure, life is too short. And as mentioned if you have a problem and contact Ash he will sort it for you.

I completely agree. I used to be the Officer in Charge at a Post office and people just don't realise that the volume of things staff have to cope with is unreal. Postal services are only a part of what PO's do, and another thing they don't realise is the amount of shit the staff put up with for minimum wage. Plus the Post Office have absolutely no control over what Royal Mail do or do not do.

Most of the time it was ok, and you get to meet some lovely people (usually the pensioners) but when you get a sawn off shotgun waved in your face you kind of start to reassess your career options.

I mentioned on another forum that back in the old days a sorting office was ran in military fashion, you wore the Queens uniform and respected it, you were giving a service to the public. The floor inspectors were blokes that had worked their way up through the ranks as messenger boy`s and they knew the system inside out. Every effort was made to make sure people got their mail. We normaly had a cut off point to be out the office by about 07.30, if mail was late coming in then we would be kept back untill the first class stuff had been sorted to take out on the round. Any second class stuff would be delt with while we were out delivering and that would get delivered on the second delivery, sadly there are no second deliveries now. Yup times have changed over the years for the Royal Mail, and I would agree it has not been for the better in some circumstances, but generaly they still provide a good service imho compared to a lot of countries.

Yes I agree KulrMeStoopid my title is a little misleading, it wasn't specifically aimed at them, although the lack of communication isn't a great point on their behalf. Please don't take this next point personally but I do disagree with a couple of the points you made, let me explain why.
I am disabled and my husband is my carer, we have little money as neither of us work due to this. We have four kids (although the middle two live with their mother so only here at certain times in the week). Our lives, like most parents, revolves around them. Food, shopping, clothes etc, we hardly ever spoil ourselves. We wait until after Christmas to buy something for ourselves, make sure everyone and everything else is sorted first. Money was one of the reasons we quit smoking and even then we got the cheap nasty ones, rarely from a shop. So actually when I spend the money we got for Christmas and a little bit we saved and splash out a bit and then pay to get it sooner, I do expect it to arrive when it's suppose too. Having no way to track £150 worth of goods is very frustrating. It's probably gonna be the last and only time we get to spend that much on ourselves this year. Yes it's busy at this time of year, and I understand that it's heaving but can you see my point? We don't drink, no longer smoke anymore, other than our laptop and phones we rarely get to buy ourselves something this expensive so £150 is big deal to us.
Anyway I think we should leave this post at this last point. I've had my gripe and well, I'll just find another way to try and deal with it.

Sub post offices are independently owned so they can dictate their own opening hours, it's only Crown offices (main offices) that aren't. No POs can dictate what time the postman comes to collect special deliveries, signed for or even just the normal post collection from the office though, they have to be open for that. So if the postman was coming at 1pm sub post offices can close anytime after that, but not before. They could stay open til 6pm but your special delivery won't go if it's missed the post collection.

My point is that I am in every day dropping parcels off, nowhere at any time was the last post on NYE mentioned or displayed - the PO might have been run independently but they SHOULD have notified customers if the last post was going to be much earlier.

I see your point, but we have rules which can help prevent legal repercussions against this forum and yourself.
It is not unheard of, vendors threatening forums because a member slated them or their product and this is why we have rules in place. So please, follow the rules.

I hope my post regarding my order not arriving has provoked anything KulrMeStoopid. As I said, I wasn't expecting it to, given the NY break. Apologies if it did. :D
