You are in a no win situation.
You can not persuade them that you are making a good choice (because you are not) and they are entitled to make rules in their house.
I am a big fan of honesty and openness, but you may have to wait till you are prepared to leave home before going down that road.

@bandy . a point to remember is you are of legal age to vape, plus turn the table if it starts off bad. what i mean is get your Dad to admit how old he was when he took up smoking, he was probably younger than 18. I was 15 and smoked for 27and a half years and not just ciggies. My parents where none smokers and still are but once i was of legal age to smoke they never said anything about me smoking. What would they rather you do vape 0 nic which you can give up anytime or smoke and become addicted to chemicals that are harder to quit than Heroin which is what i was told at my Dr's by the quit smoking nurse.
