What's new

The Dreaded TPD begins, be aware !

So I just got a 2ml top filling Apollo Portal replacement tank because the threads on my year and a half old Apollo Phazer tank broke.
I am so angry at the bureaucrats that have no idea about vaping passing laws that are in my view more dangerous.

Today is the 1st time I have ever spilled anything because the tank is so small and fiddly, but that aside I now I have to fill the tank 2 or 3 times as much. And what about when I'm out and about? I have to carry a 10ml bottle about and refill with no easy access to water to wash my hands.

What a joke.
Sorry I just needed a place to vent.

Hi scrumpox,
Loved your post, it's relevant to to the original start of the thread, is informative, but puts some welcome humour in as well.
You seem pretty skilled at mixing opinions / idea's ;-) have you ever thought of mixing flavours ? I bet you would be good, and could expect a premium price.............LOL

Regards badboybez
Thank you, bud. :)
I've been mixing my own since August 2014, I'm ok at it, I wouldn't say skilled. I sell to friends which covers the costs of my vaping entirely. Much to @bIOforger 's chagrin, my stash is neither embarrassing nor an expense, just an up front cash flow item which hasn't left me out of pocket at all. It's not even half the value of my current stock of flavourings / concentrates.

I'm a hobbyist not a premium juice maker. I don't charge "premium" prices because I don't need to make profits out of my friends, all of whom I got off the smokes and into vaping by recommending the right gear at good prices. They're happier and healthier, they're saving money too. Win win. :D

Some have, but domestic freezers will still dramatically reduce the movement of molecules within the liquid, perhaps more so those of the already thicker VG based nicotine, according to our resident chemist.
As far as I can determine, no-one has stored nicotine long term in a freezer as yet in order to determine how it will fare, so it's all speculation. However, more than one chemist has stated that it should in theory keep up to 10 years and possibly beyond if stored correctly in a domestic freezer.
It's going to be an interesting experiment for those who are taking part and no-one can say they didn't try. Isn't that what life is all about? ;)
The stuff I first froze over 2 years ago hasn't degraded at all, still the same strength according to the test kit.
If it degrades a little over 4, 5 or more years, it's not the end of the world, just need to change the value on the calculator to the test reading and use a bit more. I'm super confident that the PG won't "go off".
Darkstar's freezer packs are Argon sealed also.
I didn't know that! :D I opened every bottle and topped them off, got at least 30mls more in each one.

Thank you, bud. :)

Let's hope there isn't a vaper who works for inland revenue using this site lol

Yup! The biggest cases always need extra weekend working ... hope they got enough pizza and coffees delivered in ... ;)

Hi scrumpox,
Did you get any of the pizza...........???
As you say, at your "level of turnover and profit", there ain't any profit ! in fact probably a loss.

Interesting point though from another member.

Yeah, if you made money you could be liable for tax via the dreaded HMRC.
But, there is always an upside to any situation.
If you can prove that you made a loss (even a penny) you could be entitled to a tax rebate ;-))
Hang on, I've just had another great idea !
If you are giving stuff way, to people in need of help, then you are acting like a charity.
So, if you register as such, you wont, have to pay 20% vat on supplies...............
Well, next time this year we could be millionaire's......LOL

I hope he's putting the nicotine warning labels on those 10ml bottles and turning away custom who are after stronger than 20mg strength else he'll have 2 agencies ready to string him up lol

Darrant are now putting the "business users" only disclaimer on nic for sale, so there's the answer, chem firm not selling direct to the public anymore :(
