If you haven't read the book 1984 by George Orwell already, read it. Impressive how substantial it is towards todays society considering it was written in 1948, big brother and all that. The Commons Doorkeeper provides snuff, yes SNUFF to be freely available to all MPs during any session as a 'pick me up'.
It may be outdated but it is true and because it is traditional, it is exempt of any laws or mandates.

I never used to give a toss what the politicians had dreamed up,until I became a grumpy old vaper & they started trying to tell me (again)that my vaping was bad for me & everyone/everything else around me including the fucking wallpaper & windows.I have sent emails/letter/posted here,signed petitions & still they're ignoring me so unfortunately,the "I'm alright jack" attitude has meandered to my brain & though I feel sorry for smokers of the future having no alternative,I have tried my best.

I will continue to stand outside the supermarket with all the smokers whilst my GF buys the shopping,blowing as big a clouds of vapour as I can so that smokers will still ask "Wtf is that?" where-upon I'll explain where to buy the same kind of hardware,that the juices can be made for much less cost than smoking,that the ingredients can be bought in the UK or from China & that mixing isn't hard to do or that the internet will reveal umteen vendors who'll sell them awesome flavoured juices.Then when this bunch of toffee-nosed arsewipes get voted out and we get a party that wishes to endear themselves to the voters so promises the world on a plate to anyone who'll help them gain the rule,I'll post as many media comments as I can denouncing them as liars like their fuckwit predecessors.

I have spent my entire previous life avoiding voting for the simple reason,they always struck me as the exact same as every other politician regardless of what they were lying....I meant saying.As I haven't bothered voting,I am often told that I deserve the government we get,which might be true but I fail to see how the views of one man could ever change the ruling party...until I start shouting to all who read it,"this politician is a wanker,same as the last one we had & same as the next one will likely be" I will no longer stfu & get on with my life as THEY'RE sticking their noses into my PRIVATE life.

It gets me that in most other countries they vote for their favourite political leader/party, they're out in the streets celebrating massive wins or rallying and campaigning to get their favourites into power.

However in england we vote for whoever we hate the least, or vote to stop whoever we hate the most getting into power. Our politics are completely broken, lib/lab/con they're all the fucking same anyway, the only thing that differentiates them is their main agenda difference such as immigration and unemployment, and even then I'm sure they only have those views/policies on those subjects just to piss the other parties, left/right off.

It's like running the country is just a big game of the sims to these poncy posh schooled little toffs, I'm a firm believer that we need a complete overhaul of our current democratic system and some new faces/parties to come forwards.

Unfortunately, the only way that voting would present a true democratic picture of public opinion would be to adopt a proportional representation system and get rid of the first past the post system, which is unlikely to happen because the big parties know that this protects their status and effectively blocks any smaller parties from having any influence.

The drawback to PR is that it opens the door for parties with extremist views, but the fact that such parties have support should be enough for them to be able to have a platform, however small. That is the price one pays for TRUE democracy and if people thought that their vote would actually count for something instead of being tied into a 1 particular location, then a lot more people might actually be bothered to vote.
