What's new

Theres always one silly question ;)

An easy way to solve the seeping problem with RTAs is to go for a tank with top airflow, like the Intake or Kylin Mini (off the top of my head). I don't think there's any extra difficulty using a tank over a dripper, the difficulty (from my observations) comes down to the given hardware, some rebuildables are just an absolute pain in the arse to dismantle and build in, others are a breeze.

Also i would like to add that not all build methods are the same, take the Profile again, some people wick by cutting the cotton at an angle. I think i have only done it that way once when i first started. I do a straight cut and have never had a problem, it's all down to what's best for you.

Yeah, heard that from a few people. I only used mine a couple of times.
Kelpie is the same. Wicked it great 1st time, then thought I'd done exactly the same 2nd time around, it leaked like a sieve!

Kelpie can be a leaky bastard But, it is one of my faves (got 3 of 'em), the flavour is top notch. Once you have nailed the wicking it is fine, it's a bit like the old Zephyrus (one of my all time faves), there is only one way to wick it, step outside of that and it pisses itself every time. But still .....the flavour:30:

I used mine when I went out shopping last week, as driving and dropping, don't go together.
Never leaked once. It's great for flavour as you say. Leaking is minimal tbh.

I have found wicking it as per Vic's original launch vid gets it right every time. It's one of those marmite RTA's love it....or hate it. I bought it at the same time as the Zeuse X and I have only used the X once, I absolutely hate it, popping and spluttering like me when I used to smoke, yet others rave about the X....don't get it:6:

We're all different mate.
Some people disagree with my "views" on certain RDA RTA wicking etc, that's fine, as I said there is no particular right or wrong was, so long as it works for you, true?
If someone asks my advice or views, fine I'll answer best I can, but don't tell me it's wrong, as it's only a point of view.

I'm not having a pop at you, you're right in what you said!

I've noticed there is a fine line between too little and too much cotton in the wick ports on the zeus, it sounds like you might be on the side of too little.

Seems that with a lot of RTAs, that is the problem. Too much cotton restricts the juice, too little, floods the coils!

Might have a roll up!

Shitty tanks caused me to say fuck it and go back on the stinkies a few times! I've finally stuck with vaping now though (~18 months) after years of failed attempts :D
I'm on 5 years, after smoking Cuban cigars for years! Still have the odd one, Christmss etc, but not missed them really.
