Third time of trying to vape and get rid of the smokes

Not sure how helpful this will be, but just to share my story....

I decided I had to give up, no more smoking for me.
I went cold turkey and got to day 3 and cracked.

Two weeks later I went for it again, knowing that day 3 would be hard I was praying for help (I am a Christian). On day three I was struggling again, then i remembered an old "cig-a-like" e-cig we had bought ages ago.
Found it, found an unopened carto for it and vaped my way through day 3 like a champ!

So, for me I never had an issue of vaping being "not as good as fags" for me it was a sweet relief from cold turkey and third day cravings.

Maybe, you could try to quit for a day or two before you vape?
Worked for me.

I would leave a trail of devastation!

Yeah that's basically how I got here. Except I was climbing the walls and cracked on day 1. Early evening I remembered the OH had an old unused cigalike buried in a drawer.

Was 0mg but just got me through the first couple of days. A week later with a brand new shiny ego, lol, still on 0mg but got stressed out in town where every fecker and their dog it seemed was smoking bought some 18mg menthol shite from a newsagent and that was it. Hooked :)

Down to 6-12mg now but the relief from that gap of not smoking really worked for me and has been relatively plain sailing.

However you approach it good luck .

That is very kind of you but am not sure going higher on the nicotine is the answer. I think its the addiction to all those chemicals. I am doing reasonably ok lately with vaping although I still smoke some analogs. I am loving my Istick but I am not getting on with my Melo tank. It is still spitting back at me and making my vape painful, initially after I put in the spare coil it went ok for a few days but now back to square one so I am vaping my old ego. I am trying to get a refund from Eleaf and get myself another tank but I am questioning if it is the right tank for me anyway as I am not really in the sub ohm thing. Thank you though for your offer :).

Hi! We think the right unit will always help alongside the right nicotine strength & eliquid. Sometimes a basic set up may not quite cut it :)

Nina71 nothing wrong with an ego with a protank 2 mini, I'm 17 months tobacco free now, and although I do have as many other tanks and mods, as others have I still use the trusty ego setup for out and about.

Ps. It took me 5 weeks of slowly cutting down the smokes to get free of them. It's was those last couple, the evening ones, that was the hardest for me. And remember, it's about the ones you don't smoke. Not so much about the one's you do. Not everyone makes the complete switch, we are all different.

I think it takes a little bit of will power, but I started at 30mg for a few weeks then dropped it to 24 then 18. After 4 1/2 months now at 10-12mg. It was strange to start with but managed to avoid having a real ciggy and am now 4 1/2 months in and still haven't had one. Compared to going cold turkey this was easy and no real cravings. But it does still feel funny not rolling a fag, although it's fading slowly.

took me a long time as well, off and on vaping for about a year. That was my third try, and then went to one cig a day and vaping the rest for three weeks. Now no cigs for over a week, and very happy. I was using 12mg and now 6mg with plans to start mixing my own at 4-5mg. The right kit and the decision to change are key. Don't put too much pressure on yourself about quitting, and don't see having a cigarette as failure; see the ones you did not have as success. good luck
