Except the Flu IS MORE DEADLY THAN COVID-19
The BBC ran their "COVID-19 is 3 times more deadlier than flu" yesterday...
BUT - big but, here's the rub...
They originally used a chart to highlight this from ONS...
Guess what that chart showed - way way more deaths between 1992 to 2000
THERE WAS A MORE LETHAL FLU PANDEMIC FOR 8 YEARS !!!
DID WE LOCKDOWN ???
DID WE ALL WEAR MASKS ???
DID WE BUSINESSES CLOSE & FOLD ???
NOPE - OF COURSE NOT, NO HYSTERIA DURING 1992-2000
Now quickly realising this actually backfires on the hysteria,
the BBC very very quickly changed the chart to only focus on this year and this year 2020 ALONE,
without pointing out how we had MORE DEATHS in 1992-2000...
Now if you look at the story now you get the 2020 chart...
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-54463511
BUT originally they used the more historical chart:

(see the massive spike from 1992-2000 ???)
WHOOOOPPPSSSS - quick change it to 2020:

I know what I saw yesterday at around 2:00pm
and it was the historical one with a MASSIVE spike in flu 1992/2020
(That destroys their argument COVID is more deadly - hence changed it)
Alas - I'm unable to find an archived version of it
no archive or cached page of the story's original format it seems
but screenshots of Google search shows the historical picture was used
What is more, there was also ANOTHER flu pandemic in the 70's...
But what this all shows, is that the Flu IS more deadlier than COVID-19
in 2000 onward they rolled out an increased vaccination programme
A programme, where a vaccine had been developed since the 30's
BUT WITHOUT A VACCINE, like in 1992-2000
for EIGHT YEARS there WAS MORE DEATHS than COVID-19
AND - these deaths were with a SMALLER POPULATION
The UK had a population of around 58m between 1992 to 2000 average
So that number of deaths in 1992~2000 would need to be increased by 15%
(in relation to UK having 67m or so today)
So say 60m deaths in 1999, in relation to today would be near 70m deaths
here are some pics...
