Vaping in public - stealth tips?

After years of smoking, and hiding my cigarette between forefinger and thumb to hide my disgusting and shameful habit, I face a dilemma vaping in public.

I use a DTL tank (Cleito 120) which I under-run, about 60 rather than 100W. At that power, it is no cloud chaser, but at the same time you get a lot more vapour than from a regular cigarette.

Out and about I still see quite a few smokers but very few vapers. It's OK at work as we have a dedicated smoking area and the smokers and vapers get on fine, but with all the misconceptions about vaping I don't feel particularly confident exhaling large vanilla scented plumes as I walk down the street.

How do folks deal with vaping in public places without drawing a lot of attention to themselves, or indeed their kit?

When i first started vaping about 5 years ago now it seemed that i was the only vaper around where i live there was no vape shops and when i was out and about and i use to get strange looks from people on the street when i was blowing out these big clouds from a vape tube that i was using at the time i would get people waving their hands around in the air to wave the vapour away from them saying do you have to do that polluting the air even people who smoking were doing it to to me say how bad it was what i was doing in the end i was worried about what others thought about me doing this that i would only vape will i was at home
About 6 months later a vape shop opened near me then i began to see a few not many vapers around mostly young teens then more shops opened and began to see more and more vapers about young and old.
5 years down the line now i get people coming up to me and say how nice my vapour smells i dont get the strange looks anymore or any nasty comments.
So if i was you mate i would not hide what you do be proud of what you do and dont worry about others of what they think there is no law to say you cant vape in the street......

Personally I think your looking at the whole situation all wrong, you shouldn't trying to hide your kit you should be proud your using it because your not killing yourself smoking anymore and as long as your not blowing clouds at people then you should let them see and be interested in your kit as you never know you could end up converting a smoker or two [emoji4] but if you can't do that you could always get a pod system with high nic juice for the times you don't feel confident enough to use your fog machine [emoji6]

As above ^^^^^
I suspect you are mostly uncomfortable with it because vaping is still new to you.
Once you've been vaping long enough to feel comfortable with it yourself it won't bother you.

It's not that I'm ashamed of vaping, far from it - it's just that it is not very common at all around this neck of the woods. I was once given a severe b*ll*cking by a senior work colleague for smoking outside (yes I know, and I wasn't even near a doorway or anywhere dangerous), and it stuck. I know some of the exhaled aromas from some vapes are really sickly and could offend. Personally I find some of the fruit ones too close to cheap perfume for my liking, but I wouldn't dream of digging someone up over it. Others are maybe not as educated about vaping, and consider it as bad as smoking.

I suppose it is more a question of etiquette, we are at strange point where smoking is considered really anti-social, yet vaping isn't considered mainstream quite yet. I am looking for something smaller to take on my travels, I like my clunking great mod, but I can see it coming to a sticky end if I dropped it outside (a distinct possibility if the outing involved beer) :(.

I'm with the other guys. The only time I'm mindful of vaping in public is when there are children close by - particularly babies

Vaping wasn't mainstream in my town and never would have been if people kept the clouds and gear hidden away you should carry on with your setup turn the power up and enjoy it and you never know you could be the one to make vaping go mainstream [emoji6] or like I sed if not get a pod system with some nicsalt juice if your truly set on a stealth vape as they are the stelthyest (is that a word?) Kinda vaping they is [emoji4]

I started vaping a month ago and since I’ve been noticing everyone smoking/vaping as I walk around, seeing what kind of kit they have. It could just be my own perception, but there seems to be way more vapers during the daytime and more smokers at night. This is in a city, so may take a while for more people to switch in small towns.

I happily vape whilst walking down the street, but make sure that I hold it in whilst walking past someone, so as not to blow vapour in their face.

There’s a few pubs around me that allow vaping indoors. Since the smoking ban X years ago, I’ve got so used to having to go outside, that vaping inside feels a bit uncomfortable. So far, it’s been relatively warm enough to sit in a beer garden vaping, but I’m sure I’ll make the move indoors as the colder nights set in. It will be nice not having to freeze outside in the winter months.

So, to OP don’t feel ashamed, just be conscientious. Don’t exhale into people’s faces (unless they specifically ask you to). The more people see more people vaping, the more they normalise it, so more may switch from ciggies. Be a trend setter in your community!

Besides which, exhaust fumes are a lot, lot more damaging to people’s lungs than second hand smoke, let alone vapour, which is so negligible it verges on non-existent.

As somebody else mentioned, you could get a zeltu x. I’ve had mine a few months now and have used it every day when I’m out and about. It fits in the palm of your hand and is very stealthy, and performs very well. You’d want some 50/50 12 or 18mg liquid for it though. I’ve been using mine with home brew 24mg liquid and getting 3 to 4 weeks out of the refillable pods.

You should get a voopoo drag2 we have all heard about one but no one has ever seen it. How much more stealthy can you get
