Vaping in public - stealth tips?

It’s only since I’ve started vaping that I’ve noticed how many other people vape. Initially I was like you, and I’d take out only my aspire MTL and go for a tight draw when out in case of people moaning about the cloud. But over the months I’ve noted tons of others vaping normally and have joined them. To date I’ve had a few chats with people about mods/flavours and not one person moan.

My local allows vaping indoors, which is bloody amazing, and it’s cool to be part of the vape gang rather than the smokers shivering in the yard outside!

I prefer to vape discreetly when I'm out and about, so I will find somewhere away from groups of people. I don't think people should have to breath in other people's vapour in a busy public place, regardless of how relatively harmless it is to them, I think it's inconsiderate. One thing you can do to reduce the vapour is hold it in longer than usual: you breath out less vapour. The only other thing is getting some sort of stealth kit, usually higher ohm coils, higher nic, less vapour. I know 60w is under the power for the coil you're using, but that is still quite a cloudy set up.

I'm with you@Leni I just think it's considerate not to make other people breathe my vape. I just usually choose the quieter pay off the pavement, and hold on the exhale for a moment to reduce cloudage.

I also have my "out and about" vapes which tend to be single coil, about 0.4ohms so not the cloudiest of vapes. The real cloud chuckers stay home.

I don't hide the fact I vape when out and the only complaints I've had have been from some smokers regarding the smell!!! [emoji15]

I always carry 2 set ups with me. A small mtl set up that I can use when discretion is called for and a dtl kit for when I can let the clouds fly, best of both worlds.

I'm proud to be a vaper, but on the other hand I don't want to piss people off with my second hand vape so try to be courteous. I once saw a post on POTV stating that blowing huge clouds in busy places was the same as expecting people to walk through your farts, it has always stuck with me.

I also carry both MTL and DTL setups when out and about, for the same reason as @Myashey

I'm not sure about the farting part though. ;)

To me, forcing a cloud of vape on an innocent passer-by is the just the same as forcing a visible cloud of your breath upon them.

But, instead of a cloud of halitosis, it's a cloud of mango and banana.

I also have a Cleito 120 but carry my Pockex with me if I am out and about.

If I had the choice though, I would let the world see my clouds as I am proud to be a vaper!

After years of smoking, and hiding my cigarette between forefinger and thumb to hide my disgusting and shameful habit, I face a dilemma vaping in public.

I use a DTL tank (Cleito 120) which I under-run, about 60 rather than 100W. At that power, it is no cloud chaser, but at the same time you get a lot more vapour than from a regular cigarette.

Out and about I still see quite a few smokers but very few vapers. It's OK at work as we have a dedicated smoking area and the smokers and vapers get on fine, but with all the misconceptions about vaping I don't feel particularly confident exhaling large vanilla scented plumes as I walk down the street.

How do folks deal with vaping in public places without drawing a lot of attention to themselves, or indeed their kit?

Two things:

1. I read somewhere that most people don't care about vaping in public. Doesn't seem to have the same social stigma as smoking.

2. I use a JUUL a lot of the time when I'm out, which might be something you want to check out. They recently launched in the UK so if you're in the UK, might want to take a look at what all of the fuss is about across the sea (JUUL is #1 in US). With it, although I don't care to hide my use, you can palm it pretty easy, concealing it easily if you need to for whatever reason. Although I personally think I look a whole lot less stupid vaping than I did smoking given the obvious difference in health implications of the two.

Don't care much for the big mods and whatnot, just don't seem all that convenient to me and the little guys seem to do the trick for me, dispensing enough nicotine to keep me from throwing a hissy fit. Well, that and the snickers. Gotta have the snickers. Preferably ice cream snickers at that lol.
