ok to my surprise i have had a reply back from the local MP

As by my natural insticts of politics and there bull sh!t i have taken it with a pinch of salt but from what i read he is 100% behind not banning the ecig

No point in lobbying me Tom. I totally disagree with this Welsh Govt proposal. I do not think Governments should dictate how people live their private lives and I think E-cigs are helpful to those wishing to give up smoking. I will pass on to Russ, best wishes, Glyn

As a resident of Prestatyn I believe you are my representative in the Welsh Assembly.

Could you please confirm that you will be opposing the proposed ban of the use of e-cigarettes in public places outlined in the Public Health Bill White Paper.

As an ex-smoker and vaper I feel very strongly about this subject and would be saddened as a life-long Labour supporter to have to change my political allegiance.

I would also like to take this opportunity to say that I found the ‘information’ contained in the section on e-cigarettes in the White Paper so biased in favour of the proposed bill as to be bordering on propaganda, to my mind the Paper is not so much an informative consultation document as an exercise in the ‘Engineering of Consent’.

I wanted to keep this thread alive as it is important to everyone on this Forum. The powers that be will use Wales as a testing ground and if we roll over and accept this anti vaping legislation then it will be forced on the rest of the UK before you know it.
