Do you not find your pick hits the middle pickup? I had an epiphone when I was younger and it looked so good but used to bug me cos I'd forever be moving the position of my pick haha

True...had a few in my time, my favourite guitar is still my ibanez rg perfect workhorse doesn't do anything amazingly but after I wired in a coil tap it does literally everythimg

I play mostly Strats (usually heavily modified) but there's something my '62 Tele does that no other guitar can....

Brass compensated saddles cures that. I also swapped out the cap on the tone pot and it's SWEEEEEET!

....tbh never tried a tele with that mod...swapped out tone pots and It always amazes me how much a difference it makes for a couple of quid
