What's going on with the ELiquid Market?

88vape make bog standard MTL juice £0.95p 10ml, I make juice £0.20p 10ml why does it cost £3.99 or more from other sources? It's the same ingredients? Or is it not? 88vape have the same costs surely? I really want to know why some juice costs £3.99 or more for 10ml.

I take issue with people comparing single flavour cheapy juice against juice with well thought out complex recipes that have clearly had some development time.

I know a lot of “premium” juice is just companies after a quick buck, but not all is.

There’s just no comparison between stuff like this and some of the well established U.K. based juice manufacturers.

I wonder if 88vape are trpr compliant? They aren’t good at all though, to be fair.

It's no different to anything else ... 88vape is a can of Spar lager, £3.99 liquids could be whatever your favourite beer might be, some people are willing to pay more for something they prefer more. We all know that it's not the base ingredients we are paying for, we are paying for business premises, manufacturing machinery, wages, time, distribution, promotion, etc etc etc. Anything that's associated with running the business. ... not to mention VAT.

You may be able to make a bottle of liquid for 20p but you couldn't sell it at that price.

^^^^Too true^^^^
The bottle its self costs me more than the juice if its a 10ml bottle.

To answer your other reply like i said i wouldnt mind where the juice was made so long as it was free from pubes and the mixologist was up front.
If you state its produced at such a bus pk or retail unit and its not then i will avoid.
It might be just a small white lie which could make no difference at all but it demonstrates trustworthiness imo.

I understand that people are willing to pay for quality, but £3.99 it's more like paying for the name and branding, not the product content, example I can get a bottle of bourbon from Aldi £15, or a bottle of jack Daniels from anywhere else £20, your example would have JD at 4 times the price of the Aldi shit, so JD £60 a bottle. No way is eliquid at £3.99 for 10ml 4x better than 88vape tat, this thread is all about the shit quality of juice right now, so charging £3.99 for it is an insult upon an insult imo.

Shortfills again a guess is a lot are made without the extra flavour needed for the 10ml of vg nic shot. Not all of them but i think a majority as this adds that little extra profit per bottle.
The more expensive 10ml bottles also include TPD testing cost recovery. Agree with it or not the vendor will always charge towards any costs they incur and that is for any business. You have the choice to pay it or not pay it and create your own. I have seen many 10ml bottles priced at £5.99 never mind £3.99. As said earlier Shortfill making newcomers see this and want a slice of the money and will use other money saving ideas ie understrength flavour so they can increase profits while making their prices seem like a good deal.
just like You can go to a pub buy a pint and enjoy it or you can go somewhere else and buy a pint that has been watered down and pay a bit less. try putting a half pint glass upside down in a pint and it separates the beer from the water. with eliquid you have no way of seeing how much concentrate is in plus some flavours are stronger than others as well as some brands

I do agree with you but ive been vaping since it all started taking off and from the begining i used to pay £5 for 30ml or 10 30ml bottles for £45.
I remember the "premium" juices started hitting the market for upwards of £7.99.
I sat in a bubble vaping mtl tobaccos or menthols for a few years and missed the dtl craze taking off.
By the time i started dabbling in dtl the juices with flavour were selling for upwards of £15 for 30ml which is £5 in todays 10ml money.

If i did not mix i would pay £12 for 30ml of the right juice.

Bullshit. I’ve had juice at £1 that was good and juice at £4.99 that was worth every penny. Just because *some* juice for £3.99 is shit doesn’t mean it all is.

I’ve been diy’ing for years and I’ve had well thought out complex juices that are heads and shoulders above anything I or anyone I know can make and that to me is worth the asking price.

I can buy a tin of beer for 80p in the local shop and that would probably be good enough if all I wanted to do is get shit faced but you can be damn sure I’d rather be drinking the craft brews from the brewery down the road from me, even though it’s about 4 times the price. And I’d much rather be giving my money to a local maker who cares about their craft rather than Ab-InBev. Same with juice.

I have no intention to criticize anybody for paying inflated prices for an average product, I am guilty too, it's marketing and sales, I just think that £3.99 is too fucking expensive for 10ml of juice no matter what fucking "development" went into it, development? What? oh that tastes good let's make that, and screw and exploit the idiots giving up smoking. Development is just a justification/excuse for an easy rip off imo.
