Which bb ?

Right then, just thinking about buying a bb at the minute so thought I would ask a few questions,
Firstly, which billet box is best to buy ? Not bothered about originals just clones, as I understand there are a couple of versions about at the minute ? Is that correct ?
Secondly, what is best bridge/set-up for tight mtl ? I am currently enjoying a hastur mini
Thirdly, do I need to do all of the sealing etc around the contact pin if I use condensation plugs ? And do the plugs eliminate condensation completely ?
Basically I want to know all about them before I go taking the plunge, I've read quite a bit from the forum about them but was still left with these questions that I hope some of you can help me with
Thanks in advance

I would get the cheaper SXK 70 watt version, to be fair the RBA that comes with it is pretty good for MTL, or you can shove in some Aspire Nautilus MTL coils.

Beyond that there are better RBA's (bridges) but if you just want to dip your toe in the water the standard package will get you going.

You can get the DNA version for more money but I'm quite happy with the SXK, I also have the DNA version but to utilise it properly is a real faff connecting it to your PC.

Condensation plugs don't 100% solve the issue but reduces how often you need to clean it, the ones I've designed have different airflow options, I use the 1mm for a tighter MTL draw.

£48.99 is a bargain for such a versatile mod, I think once you get one you will understand what all the fuss is about, I was late to the party and only had one for a few months but it's become one of my favourites.

I would definitely go for the sxk 60w billet box as i has the DNA board and if you go on dhgate.com you can get them for around £70 posted....but where ever you go i would highly recomend the dna60 one

vapeshell with MTL reducers can do a very tight draw. great flavour too

Thanks for that fella's, what about sealing the contact pin ? Is that a necessary faff or not, is there anything else I need to know before I take the plunge ?

In my honest opinion @Leeren666 :)

Go for the DNA. Yes I know that the SXK 70Watt is usually cheaper, but...... IF you ever need repairs, like a New Screen or a new board, Evolv items are readily available here in the UK. The DNA Board is FAR more stable and performs exactly as you'd expect.
With regard to getting the sealing done, you have two options really, either you leave well alone, but run a potential risk of liquid seeping down onto the board, or you do the job, or get it done for you and then the risks are considerably reduced.
I am speaking from some experience here. As you may already know, Carol has 5 BBs, of which one is an authentic. The others were SXK70 Watters. ALL have had to have board changes except for the authentic. All her SXK BBs are now running DNA Boards and have had the work done to make sure that there "should" be no further issues. I have one SXK that has also had a Board Change to DNA and one authentic BB that is fine.

As far as using a BB goes, I would say that from a maintenance point of view, it is worth removing the Boro every day and just cleaning up any condensation that has formed. Many people cut a piece of Tissue to go behind the Boro so that it adsorbs any condensation, so that would be another approach.

Condensation Plugs: I like them and use them on all of our BBs. If you talk to @Vapaneezer Scrooge he will talk you through what he has and which he recommends.

So basically, as long as you clean up behind the Boro every day, 5 minutes........ If That........... you should be fine.

IF the worst happens and you need major surgery performed, we have several people here who will undertake that for you I am sure. :)

Thanks @Rob for that, looks like I will be taking the plunge sometime soon (when funds allow)
Once it arrives I will start looking at plugs and sealing it up etc, right off to sell the dog now !
