@Leeren666 , this is the one I have. It’s the dna and has a usb port. I’ve been charging mine with the usb.
@Vapaneezer Scrooge , yes, you can also connect it to your computer with the usb. I’ve not done this personally as haven’t had any need.
I went for the dna on the advice of
@domejunky who mentioned having a pile of dead sxk boards. For an extra £20 or so it seemed like the obvious choice.

I also got the sxk vape shell and a set of cheap airflow reducers. It’s excellent and should meet you hastur mini tightness requirement.

As far as sealing, I do plan to do this soon but haven’t got round to it yet. I’ve been putting a small square of kitchen roll behind the tank and a little bit of cotton round the pin. This seems to be working fine, it’s only catching an occasional little bit of moisture. I’ve not got the plugs, and don’t think I’ll be planning to use one as once I seal it, the amount of moisture I’m getting doesn’t seem to warrant the need for one. But that could be subject to change, I might get one from
@Vapaneezer Scrooge at some point if I think it would help.
Interestingly, I had the sxk insider in my bb over the weekend (friday until this morning), and it’s been completely dry as a bone, no moisture inside it at all. I don’t think the moisture is condensation, rather I think it’s just liquid seeping out from somewhere in the tank (either the top or the bottom), and is to do with wicking and probably differences between different bridges. From my experience the vapeshell is worse for it than the insider (both sxk clones). But the vapeshell is also much better in use than the insider, for my preference (tighter, smoother draw and nicer vapour). That’s not to say the insider is bad, it’s good, but I prefer the vapeshell.
I’ve also been leaving the bb on it’s side, button side down when not using it, on the advice of
@Discomatt and this seems to help reduce any leaking. It makes sense.
I’ve also run it in tc a couple of times with ~ 1Ω 316L, but just with the standard setting from the menu, I’ve not connected it to a computer as it worked fine as is and there didn’t seem to be any need. I’m also not sure if escribe is available for mac and I’ve not really looked into this yet.
@Leeren666 in total it worked out at £103 for the bb, vapeshell and reducers from fasttech. Worth it, I would say, it’s definitely a keeper. This, the squeeze with a salix on it and the suorin air are all I need to be happy.
