Hi everybody,

I been a vaper for many years , on and off since 2009. As I am still fighting smoking, a while ago I started again vaping with a plan to finally kill the bugger.

I am running 2 tanks, Geekvape Zeus Dual and Ammit MTL RTA. The ammit is a delight but the Zeus is an annoying pain in the butt in regards to one issue only: spitback/flooding . I learned how to rebuild and wick years ago, I consider myself quite knowledgeable on this. I tried everything that comes to mind, bigger/smaller coils, more/less cotton, longer/shorter in the juice holes. every time I want to use it i have to fire and blow on the air holes 4, 5, 6 even 7 times to clear it and ensure i don't get a big blob of hot juice in my mouth. After that it is a joy, clouds , flavor, but if it stays a bit on the side, as I also use the MTL tank.... when I want a cloud I have a real ritual of burning the excess juice :)

Is this normal behavior ?

Sounds like you're scrimping on the cotton somewhere.
Can you post a picture of your build as it may help narrow the issue down.

Although ready for a rewick and perhaps a little loose in the coils it doesnt look too bad at all.
What coil material is it, what ohms is it reading, and what power are you putting through them?
It might just be that its taking too long to heat up and boiling the juice along the way.
Unfortunately i have no idea on the coils material.

What do you mead by loose in the coils, the cotton was quite stuffed in there as last time I used more.

Given the resistance its reading im going to guess youve used the ones that say 0.85ohm?
Swap them for the 0.45ohm fused claptons as those you have in there will be taking an age to heat up which im pretty sure is why you'regetting the issues.
Build and wick the same but start vaping at 65w and increase the power a watt at a time till you find the sweet spot for you.

Will do that, honestly I think the coils on the deck now are twisted clapton at 0.45 each . And is not the first time the mod shows the one coil value not half as parallel coils. Although it read the 1 ohm coil on the mtl tank correctly... Will use a low ohm meter and see what it shows ( electronics engineer :)))) )

Don’t cloud tanks always have a degree of liquid spirting out the spout?

Hi, I honestly don't know what you mean :)

The high power cloud tanks, such as this one. I was under the impression that a degree of spitting of liquid out the top was inevitable? It might not be the case, I don’t use them.
