So I've had my Alien since December of 2016, and one of the things I have loved about having it for so long was that I was getting relatively high in puff count (Only about 46k). Yesterday morning I put my batteries in after charging and my puff counter was reset back to 100. I have no idea what or how it happened, but it's all reset. Is there a way for me to manually go in via my computer and add those puffs back onto the device? I've tried searching around on the internet, but nothing comes up except how-to videos for resetting puffs. I know this may seem trivial, but the puff count was one of the main reasons why I kept with this mod for so long. If anyone can help answer this I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

Damn shame you lost your puff counts, you must be gutted, never mind, summer is on the way.

Ok here's a list to do [emoji5]

1. Take the battery's out
2. Press and hold the fire bar
3. Put the battery's back in
4. Press the menu up button 7 times
5. Realize I'm taking the piss and get a life

Just be thankful it works,eh? You'll just have to start again,I'm afraid.

Was there a reason why you wanted to keep your puff count?

47,000 over 13 months equates to aprx 120 puffs a day and if you are awake for 14 hours its 8 puffs an hour.
May aswell give up.

On a more serious note, mine did the same at just over 98,000, a couple of months ago. More worryingly, now it will sometimes default the wattage to 220w on a battery change. Which in itself is no biggy, as long as I've remembered to check the wattage before continuing to use it.
As for messing about trying to change it back (add the puffs back on), it's a smok, so if it works leave it alone. Many, many times on forums, there have been posts where people have turned their smok aliens into paper weights, simply by trying to upgrade the firmware, let alone anything else.
Had mine in all day every day use, since Nov '16 and it's never seen a usb lead. I'm old school, if it ain't broke I don't need to fix it.
Yes it has a couple of glitches, but until it turns itself into a paper weight, it does the job as my daily work horse. Only then will it fiddled with, but more likely binned and replaced with one of my many other mods.
