Advice on pre made coils

The way I see it you can measure the surface area of simple round cross sectional or flat wire easily enough,on the other hand if you have a multi strand coil you have about the same surface area but you also have all the nooks and crannies between the strands which in theory will increase the volume of liquid available for atomisation, this all falls down when the coil clags up so it`s always best to maintain your coils to get the best performance.
