BBC 6 o'clock news now. A bit on the banning of e-cigs

Is it just me, because I don't see a problem with kids vaping. By kids I mean late teens. I think we can all agree it's almost certainly harmless, and, rather than leading them into smoking, it's more likely to stop them.

We think nothing of letting our kids try their first drink at 12 or 14 or whatever, and how many proudly take their son to the pub on their 18th birthday? Yet here we are, vapers ourselves, suggesting that they should be discouraged from taking up a pastime that is unquestionably less harmful than alcohol.

I agree. I think that with the membership levels of the various ecig forums and the close knit nature of the vaping community, we'd be able to organise the biggest demonstrations this country has ever seen. We could bring London to a standstill.

Just seen this... it's totally ridiculous. .. WHO are meant to be promoters of health and scientific research. .. WTF... they are obviously just pandering to the pharmaceutical industry. ... how do we go about challenging something so big?

Has anyone noticed that it seems to be the cig-a-like manufacturers that are the guiltiest of making vaping "sexy". Certainly a few times i've seen NJOY adverts on the TV and thought "Hmmmm, that won't be good for vaping". Even Blu have "trendy" music on their adverts and seem that they are targeting young people. Is it any coincidence that Blu are owned by the tobacco company Lorrilard Inc and Vuse by Reynolds American considering their aggressive trendy marketing. I only state this because it seems to me that the media only believe that there are cig-a-likes out there as they are the only type of vaping systems that they report.
