The BBC didn't even report the massive anti ATOS demo at the time of the paralympics... only channel 4 gave it any airtime and there were thousands involved in that... campaigning against over 1000 deaths caused by fit for work assessments..

I helped run a (not wholly successful) social media protest last year. The most successful aspect of it (in terms of gaining media attention) was a day of action where people from around the world got together locally on a specified day, some invited the local or national media and publicized their event through social media. The key was not everyone getting together in the same place, but everyone standing up to be counted at the same time. Far more people could get involved that way.





The most successful action in terms of getting a response from the company concerned was publishing their email addresses on Facebook
