Considering buying my first Mech...

[Phrasing]

I've got a desire to try out a mech mod. I have been watching a few videos on battery safety and ohms law etc. Are there any particular mods you would recommend as a first purchase? I was considering the Saga mini?

I forgot to mention earlier. The saga mini is probably not the best option for a first mech because its a series mech, series is a whole different bag of tricks it's something you work up to.

Following on from what @Crispycritters said, cheap Chinese made mechs are surprisingly hard to find nowdays, the clutch would be a good option if you can find one in stock. It even has a locking switch.

Also with mech mods not being as popular as they once were, if you do some googling you might find a "high-end" mech for Chinese prices.

The hand feel of a tube mech is a comforting thing, kind of like using a pipe.
bring it all together and it's not better or worse than using an rta on a regulated mod, just different.

Agree with this, I like using a tube a lot now Ive finally got the bottle up to use the Kindred. Its too tall though, been looking for a short arse version all night

I mean is it the ss one?

Cov sell two different versions and they don't know it lol

The ss one with the brass accents is the one that has an 18350 mode, the seam is so smooth I didn't even know it was there at first.

If you email them first then order one they will make sure you get the one you want.

I’d go with a clutch. Tube shapes are just not that convenient and/comfortable. The clutch performs really well, has a familiar box mod form factor, a locking button, is good quality and can be picked up for a reasonable price.

Apart from side fire mechs...

If you can live with a clone there are still a few brass Bestia 21700 mech tubes on AliExpress for around £20, but they don't have a locking mechanism so a no go for a pocket carry.

+1 for the Clutch. A lovely small form and contoured to fit comfortably in the hand. As Kenneth mentioned, it has a locking switch too for piece of mind.
