It won't mix well if you fill to the top use bigger bottles and half fill or mix in a different container I use conical flasks with a rubber bung or you could use a jar and get a milk frother then decant into your bottles.

Yep - always make sure you have 'shaking space' in the bottle. I hate it when I forget and overfill coz it makes shaking them up double difficult

A tumbler might work - might be a little pricey though.I used to use one to clean brass when I was reloading my own ammo - you wouldn't need traditional cleaning media in there, just some loose packing to stop the bottles bouncing around.

I always thought the glove box would be ideal, surely gets a lot of movement in there & warm in the summer & winter when you've got the heaters going. Never tried it mind....
