e-Cig Battery Explodes... Discussion?

A friend of mine sent me this via Facebook telling me to be careful. (Btw im not phased or anything I know I don't abuse my battery)

But why do you think this was? My personal opinion is damaged battery possibly used and abused hard and also I believe charging via USB isn't as safe.

Anyway I haven't read it fully but just thought itd be a warning to others and also something to discuss

Yup, this one's open for discussion in the news section too. Another case of plonker-itis ! What i find funny is that the guy who owned the devise tries to shift the blame towards the vendor & proclaims to not shop there again. Do we think that TW instructed him to charge it that way ? I think not somehow.
& the daily mail ! Spreading more unverified scare stories & making all e-cigs look bad. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Yup sadly that's the world we live in, oh fuck I messed up lets shift the blame onto someone else. No, just own up take the blame and pay the consequences.

That's what annoys me the Media is always scaremongering others, its a way of getting viewers and readers to think how they want.

If i was that guy, in this modern EU climate of health & safety at work & all that, i'd be trying to keep it quiet. The barmaid, he'd better be thankful she doesn't sue him. The customers, lucky they never got hurt. If this were America...

Who's responsible for it ? Who was it that put it there ? Who was it that didn't pay attention to the 'how to charge batteries' guidelines ?
