I haven't yet, but I'm considering anything, ill have a play with whatever is recommend, and just keep a basic build in for now till i get something good in. When you say use the end of a pen and pliers, can you elaborate a little. For some reason i can't picture twisting with that? Don't know if its because its getting late and i can't think properly, along with a few beers.

It could just be the screws in your atty, might be worth stealing a nail file off your mrs and taking any rough edges off them. A lot of atty's the hole for the screw goes straight through the wire hole and out the other side, this can lead to snapping leads too. A bit harder to sort but it can be done if you can fill the hole below with an off cut of a screw or something. The other thing that might be worth a try is doubling the ends over where they go into the terminal.The coils themselves look tidy enough though
I think the holes go straight through, probably why it was giving me problems. I'm gonna have a go at a Clapton today found a few tutorials last night.
Just to clarify I'll be building 2 coils like I would when doing a standard dual coil setup. All the videos I came across they were using 3 post decks but only fitted one coil in it.

Twisted Messes and twit rippers do the better Clapton tutorials. As for making dual Claptons, well, I've never felt the need and never had enough space even in a V2 mephisto. A single Clapton will be fine. Only doing one will save your eyesight, patience and lower frustration levels!! Wth a 0.4mm core and 0.2mm wrap I usually get 0.4/0.5 ohm coil.

The twisting with a pen or mug - get a length of the 28g fold in half. The Hold the 2 ends in pliers and put a pen/screwdriver on the bight/other end - twist away. Try get as tight as possible for better flavour and wire strength. @Mr Motivapr is the chap with a wee guide on this.
Oh, and if you have a Drill, you can straighten out the 28g. Again, cut a length, one end in drill, hold other end. Give it a quick wheech and the wire will be straight and easier to work with.

Spreading the Watts out over two coils works better for me at those levels but I'd agree a single clapton is a lot less work, getting them even can be a bit tricky. I don't have any fresh build pics so you'll have to excuse the juiciness and it's also a four post atty. The thing you'll have to be sure of for a dual with a three post is you'll get both legs through the positive pin. I wouldn't fancy trying to do one of these as a sleeper, that is where you wrap one coil with a long leg, pass that through the positive then wrap your second coil onto that so it's all one length of wire. This if I remember right is 28g/0.32mm core claptoned with 32g/0.2mm 5 wraps at 2.5mm sitting at 0.53 ohms.

Didn't have time to try out a clapton this evening. Went for 0.8ohm, 2.5mm ID build so i can use it on my 30w iSticks as well, know it goes lower but would prefer not to be right on the edge of what it can handle. Decided to try out twisted 30awg. Not one broken wire. Not that advanced compared to some builds, but its like my 4th build. Plenty of time to get better.

Nice work and good thinking on keeping it a little higher for the iStick30, should sing nicely on there. Hows it vaping then?
To be honest the best build I've had on it yet. I stuck a 24g 0.4 ohm build on as well last night and it was alright. Made my drip tips burn my lips though. Its my first dripper and it didn't really impress me after both builds i had on it yesterday. This is much better, decent amount of flavour and clouds. Im happy with this build and id consider sticking the same in my Goliath when i get it, and I'm liking the Jakiro now. Plus i got my coils fairly centered, a bit of OCD. Id say its vaping similar to my Lemo 2 with a bit more vapour and flavour. Ive ordered one of the UD Heat Sinks to keep the drip tip bit cooler, and i think it'll look good too. Running it at 30w at the moment on this build.
Screws on it aren't the best though, can already see that on the pic. Gonna try some hex grub screws if they will fit. For £20 though i like it.
Got to get used to when to add juice too. Bordering on getting a dry hit sometimes, burnt taste is just starting to come through.
Edit: actually defo more clouds than the Lemo, I'm using a 50/50 now and i get the same amount with an 80vg on the Lemo.
