Free repair/service for mods

To save posting up a new topic what to do with old defunct mods that have built in batteries, take em apart, remove the batteries and recycle them

Your local recycling centre should take electronics.

Hi apes,

A new post in regards to free service for mods.

I am offering my services to the forum members as repairs for battery mods.
The service is totally free with the exception of postage and if parts are required to be purchased.

20 years background in electronics, mainly in audio and automations. I consider I have all the tools required and enough knowledge [emoji23]

Get in contact with me in private and will discuss..

IMPORTANT- read the below T&C's

- as these devices use high power lithium's, there is no responsibility on my side. (i had cases of people using mods at maximum specs until you could not hold it in your hand and then blaming my repair when it blew up in their face)
- the repairs are in my spare time, will do my best to be fast but will not take any urgent requests or restless people. I do have a life...
- will only repair if I consider the mod to be safe to use after, or if the owner takes FULL responsibility if I advise against the repair.
- there is no guarantee except my professional work ethics.
- the owner is responsible in getting the mod to me, and paying postage for return (paypal) , PLEASE consider paypal fees also if the case.

I have a DNA75 mod that powers up fine, but unfortunately a wire has came loose that connects to the 510 pin. I accidentally pulled it loose when I took the mod apart as the battery spring mechanism was not working, which I managed to sort.

I loved the mod when it worked, it was a firm favourite, but am not handy with a soldering iron myself.

Are you still offering this service, and if so could you PM me so I know where to send it?

I would be so grateful to get it working again as I know it is an easy fix, just not one I am capable of doing.

I can't find their repair service- I can find that the are the official EU repairer of Evolv boards/mods, but I am well out of the 12 month repair window, is there a section of their website that I am missing?
EDIT: It would have been so much easier when I got my DNA200's if they repaired them, as I had to send 3 of my DNA200's back to Evolv in the USA for board replacements. I have been very unlucky when it comes to Evolv powered devices.
