I suspect this is because you view politics from a particular bubble - and are surprised when not everyone does - it’s quite common

Believe it or not i don't tie myself to any party, if Labour were in power i would be just as critical,
also me being Scottish a lot of folks would assume i am pro SNP but i refused to vote for them
last election as i disagree with a lot of their policies.
I am pro Independence but that is as far as it goes regarding SNP.
Admittedly being Scottish does make me a bit Anti-Tory.

It was no diss to you at all man - its just my observation of people in general and who they surround themselves with and what they read etc- and not just the left the right as well.

because we tend to socialise with like minded people (this is more prevalent now than ever - since politics became so divided - never in my lifetime have I seen people say things like “if you voted Tory get off my timeline” as much as the last three years. So anyway - because we surround ourselves with like minded people and read things we agree with - we create our own little bubble of what we think the reality is. (again irrespective of political opinion both sides)

there fore it comes as a shock when we can’t possibly believe who got in/ who got out/how well they are Doing/are not doing/remain/leave.

a few years ago political persuasion didn’t have half the impact on who would socialise with who - it needs to go back to that. Democracy is about compromise and finding a way to work together - not stamping out the opposition.

Its why I tend to jump in when I see opinions etc being stated as facts - I’m not just being a contrary cunt - I honestly believe people need to see and listen to more sides than their own.

Until recently my social set largely consisted of Sudo militant socialists - slurping Prosecco but missing the “No to fossil fuels march” because they had to get their Audi serviced that day. They were all like it - they assumed everyone that wasn’t in the EDL was also like it.

the meltdown at last election was with no bias at all purely from a human behavioural perspective - a fascinating thing to behold.

I’m not sure you are shite at them at all

for the reasons started in my last post I’ve had a lot of practise at trying to insert balance
