They cover Snus later in the survey - which I said they should not restrict like e-cigs (too low a nicotine limit) and not restrict flavours either (and also to heated tobacco products).
I told them - look at Sweden!

if a store knowingly sells to underage and gets raided because of it do you think a small fine will change their mind from doing it again. no they will laugh and be selling again the next day. bigger the fine may make them think twice.
and if the kids supply chain stops selling them then sooner or later the kids will get board of searching and take up another hobby, or lets hope so anyway.

um..... take some responsibility for what you are manufacturing and selling? You are the ones profiteering from it after all, not us.

well the first thing I would ask, is it tpd compliant I expect it isn’t, for a vape shop to sell none compliant tpd products they need to be shut down it’s that simple. It’s harsh but just because it says vape shop above the door doesn’t mean they know anything about what there selling

I won't name any companies but it's a large chain that recently opened near me and it's cbd 0mg nic so it doesn't require tpd approval to my knowledge personally I do believe people should be able to make choices for themselves but unfortunately certain products don't help with how they represent themselves and will be used by tabloids to perpetuate their agenda's and people who have a personal grudge against vaping will eat that up and use that against the industry as a whole.

Anyway, it's better kids vape instead of smoke.. this is something most people don't take into account...

Absolutely right. Just think about the drug dealers hanging around outside school gates and all the other substances kids get access to. Kids will always find their ways to get hold of these things just like we did at their age so a legal vape will do them far less harm.

as for NETs they’re obvs not subject to fag tax at the moment so i guess they don’t apply either.

a devils advocate question, cause i wouldn’t really support banning flavours.
but, folk seem to say that banning some of the more “child friendly” flavours would impact adults. is there really anybody that would quit vaping and go back to fags if they couldn’t buy liquid that was blue slushy or candy floss custard biscuit flavour? that seems absurd to me. do people really think this?

I don't think it would be as simple as just banning some sweetie flavours.. I think the 3 options on the survey to be potentially allowed were -
• Tobacco only
• Tobacco & mint/menthol
• Tobacco, mint/menthol, and fruit/sweets

This would potentially impact on both new & old vapers...

I tell you, some peeps need no excuse to go back to fags.. I know of loads of them.. (I give them friendly abuse when I see them in the street )
.. and most of them know better as well (like my colleague's wife, who's just given birth!)
