How did you stop vaping

I think that is supposed to be the time that it takes for the nicotine to fully disperse.

I'm working out the time like this...

The time before I feel the urge to vape, that was about 20 mins for me, take a pouch and leave that in for about 40 mins, then I'm pretty satisfied from that for the next hour.... so that's 2 hours.

The pouch doesn't have to be active for 2 hours, to results 'work' for two hours, if you know what I mean?

true, unless you are a chronic chain smoker/vaper. i am starting to get that way to be honest. i might think aboht stopping at some point this year. probably with the aid of pouches.

I 've looked at these in the past but Im reluctant to use them because the nic will be higher than I am vaping, hence the success you all are getting, also I used to use the wee nicorettes tabs the small ones placed under the tongue, they worked a treat, but were quite addictive, I was popping more and more of them and were a bastard to come off of.

I suspect it won't be long before they turn their attention to nicotine pouches. lol.

at the moment ive got no intentions in packing in the vapes, i actually enjoy it & when im out & about i can happily go for an hour or so with out vaping, back home i vape more for some reason

Yeah I am too, hopefully if nothing else this will help break that cycle a little because it's getting pretty annoying at times if I'm honest.

I actually found it easy. I disappeared from the forum for a while after i stopped vaping. I had worked down to 3mg, then 1,5mg, then zero.
A family tragedy put me back on the fags for 6 months, and then back to the vaping again. I know i can stop when i want to, but i enjoy vaping.

It's a vicious cycle though, you will end up vaping more when you get scunnered of the pouches cos your nic levels will be up

aye i could see that being a risk with dual use. if i tried that i’d end up vaping and sucking pouches at the same time. for the moment they’ll just be handy for times i can’t vape for a long period. but i think they would probably make it easier for me to quit, just dealing with the nic cravings without all the habitual stuff. think i have adhd tendencies and the fidget factor is as much of a problem as the physiological aspects of the nic. :)

I think most folk on here are on the adhd spectrum.

I did think... well, sounds counter-intuitive... and may be totally off the mark; but how about pipe smoking ?

Sure, it's setting fire to stuff and breathing it in but it is quite different to smoking fags - which obviously you don't want to go back to.

I took it up a for a year or so before I left the UK and still would be if I could get the baccy here.

In practical terms, it'll supply the nicotine, but isn't something you can really end up doing too much. It's more of a meditative, sit down and stare at the scenery type of thing.

It has a definite 'special moment' quality you don't get with a cigarette, or a vape for that matter.

It also smells a lot nicer, and even pleasant to non-smoking, non-vaping girlfriends in my experience; the tobacco itself is generally of better quality, it doesn't just ooze smoke all the time and there's and no paper of course.

It also provides something to do with your hands, it if that helps.

It's also very enjoyable :)

You can pick up great quality 'estate pipes' with oodles of pre-loved character very cheaply from EBay etc. and since you don't chuff it all day, just every now and then when you 'deserve it'; a tin of quality tobacco will last a long time.
