Ichor liquid tobacco or Mod and tank for NET?

Just trying my best to find something that suits me personally. Vape juice is completely subjective. There’s no right or wrong answers. I personally don’t want sweet sugary tobacco ness anymore. I’ve done it to death. NET wasn’t exactly what I was expecting after sitting on the fence for years. Plus I know I’m lazy when it comes to vape equipment. Roll ups was less hassle lol but worse for your health and not so socially acceptable anymore. It’s no longer the 80s or 90s for better or worse. Take your pick.

Dark Smokeyness is what the world needs it’s what I need minus the clogged coils. I am not going on holiday with a toolkit and various apparatus. Nathan the net smoker on YouTube says you can be a hobbyist or a vaper. I’m a vaper and proud.

I’m just trying to get the best results in the easiest fashion which I believe all actual smokers looking to quit really want.
Agree with most of what you say, I started vaping to get of the smokes (roll ups), I would not call myself a hobbiest, I do take an interest in rtas that suit tobacco juices, not interested in mods as long as they work. I have tried pods etc and have never got on with any of them, like you say, there is no one product to suit all, all that matters is you keep off the smokes and also enjoy your vape.

Be interesting to know how you get on....vg in its self, has a wee tad of sweetness to it and will also gunk up coils, 100ml seems to me a big stretch.
I have just put Juice cabins Virginia smooth in a pod, if I get near to 30ml I will be happy, it's not sweet other than the Vg, that I can detect.
SR Vapes also sell La tabaccheria extra dry 4pod range, same price, postage free over £50.

100ml is a massively huge stretch. There is no way I’m getting that through a MTO Voopoo coil. Like you if I get 30ml through it il be happy. I usually change coils one a week on my old aspire flexus q. The Voopoo pods have lasted 2 weeks all synth tobacco flavours. Drakes Virginia in a 0.7ohm mto coil lasted one day before the flavour went. Coil still works. Not burnt but the taste is just not existent. Drakes Havana has lasted two weeks in a 1.2ohm mto coil but not used as heavily. So if you get 30ml from juice cabin please let me know. I’m gunna guess you will get maybe 10 - 15ml out of it from what I’m reading. I maybe way wrong tho.

Thanks for letting me know about sr vapes. Always good to have choices or if one supplier runs out there’s another.

Pods are really hit and miss and the battery life isn’t the best. You have to go through a few to find ones you may like. There’s just convenient for driving, work, about the house. Changing a coil takes like a minute. Fits in your pocket easy. Plus I like auto draw. For me it’s more like actual smoking. Pressing a button on a mod feels far removed from smoking to me personally.

I find mods and tanks daunting there’s too many choices and the lingo is hard to get down but I was totally aware that if you want close to tobacco as I want really it was the only way to go and to get the best flavour. Until now I really really hope! I maybe proved wrong.

Defo stay off the smokes. But I feel after 3 years I still havnt managed to really be happy with the vape. Hence this thread haha!

I don't think there is any device or elquld around that will ever replicate a cigarette.

I suppose it depends on what you want to replicate about it. For me it’s the throat hit, the dry smoke ness in the mouth, the texture and taste of tobacco. The tightness of the draw. Some of this comes from combustion so you can’t replicate that. But I do feel with the correct liquid, good air control, the right wattage or temp control, the correct ohm coil for you personally you could get pretty close. But it’s never gunna be exactly the same. Plus I can’t stand the smell of smoke on my hands or clothes or car anymore. I’m happy to trade that bit.

Totally agree - I only vape NET's. I hate sweet or perfumy liquid's. I either make my own from a stock of my old pipe tobacco's or buy from Drake's etc. For me the best results come from a MTL tank, 50/50 VG/PG NET something like Latakia, 12% NIC.

So it’s REVIEW TIME!!

Hardware used for all liquids: - Voopoo Argus G pen. Thoughts on hardware. 1000mah battery doesn’t last me a full day. I do like the vape but it is very smooth. Not a lot of bite out of it. Although it does seem to produce good flavour.

First Liquid: Drakes Flue cured Virginia 3mg nic salt shot 50/50
Coil 0.7 ohm
Thoughts: This was the first NET I’ve ever tried. First thing that came to mind was hotdog water. It really wasn’t what I was expecting. After several weeks I’ve vaped this liquid the least. Quite a sweet flavour, way sweeter than I was expecting by far. Very light flavour however the more I vaped it I started to feel the liquid had some subtle characteristics of tobacco and became more interesting. No smokeyness to it at all. Think raw unprocessed tobacco not like smoking tobacco. It is pleasant but still feel underwhelmed. Didn’t scratch the itch I was after which was to replicate smoking to some degree.

2nd liquid: Drakes Havana Reserva 3mg nic salt shot 50/50
Coil 1.2ohm (I was thinking tight Cuban draw)
Thoughts: Again very sweet. More interesting than the Virginia bolder flavours of tobacco. Smell a cigar and that’s the sorta taste you’re going to get to some degree. But again not what I was expecting. Seeing as this is a limited run of 150 bottles and apparently made from cigars worth £120 each I was expecting gold in a vape. Bold flavours coupled with Smokey cigar nuances. Honestly imo it’s a waste of good cigars. I do enjoy this liquid a lot more than the Virginia. Vape cloud consistency seems thin. Very small amount of tannings. Retro hale doesn’t bring much more life from it.

Drakes sum up: First NET liquids I’ve ever tried. I was expecting a smoking simulation I do not get this whatsoever. In fairness to Drakes I feel my expectations were totally unrealistic. I didn’t understand that where is quiet a bit of sweetness from the fermentation process the occurs naturally. Plus somebody on this thread said pg has a natural sweetness to it. They are good liquids in their own rights. However if I blind tasted these liquids I wouldn’t say smoking tobacco. Maybe the smell of tobacco in your mouth if that makes any sense? But to me tobacco is rich heavy smokey goodness.
They’re not sweet compared to deserts or even the element 555 tobacco that I’ve exclusively vaped for nearly two years. But I was expecting heavy Smokey punchy tobacco. I got light and sweet, little tannings and thinner vape. Obviously you could point out I’m not using a RTA or tank and mod. But the point of this exercise was to create a quick easy smoking simulation. Complete fail. Would I buy drakes again. Yes now I know what I’m buying and what to expect it’s nice it’s enjoyable. However a longfill aiming at 6mg nicotine might help the throat hit in the pod a little. Coil life isn’t the best. My original virginia pod is still vaping but the flavour really died off after a day or so. The 1.2 ohm life has seems better. Flavour is still good. But we are talking maybe 6 to 10ml max through each coil so far.

Next up:

La tabaccherica extra dry 4pod New York NET 1 x 70/40 pg vg shot 9mg nic salt
Coil: 1ohm (was thinking similar resistance to a roll up with a filter)
Thoughts: Upon opening the longfill bottle the smell has strong. Like super strong. Bonfire, smokeyness, almost floral notes coming through. Steeped for a few days. I did fill a pod with 2ml about 2 hours after the original mix because I couldn’t wait. First vape was this is strong super strong. Heavy smoke like bonfire. Very slightly sweet but nothing like drakes. Heavy mouth tannings retro hale breathes more tobacco notes. I do find this quite floral after a week or so which surprised me. Vape feel on the mouth is thick not really creamy just dense flavour. I find it hard to pin point the exact flavours as this is quite intense on my palette. Coil brings a nice mtl feel similar enough to actual smoking. Airflow is open to the 3rd notch which brings a slightly looser feel to the vape which I enjoy. Roll ups are always looser than a cigarette. I was never a cigarette smoker.

La tabaccherica extra dry 4pod Florence NET 1 x 70/40 pg vg shot 9mg nic salt
Coil: 1ohm (was thinking similar resistance to a roll up with a filter)
Thoughts: when I first vaped this I really couldn’t tell any difference to the New york. To me they tasted the exact same. Smell was the same. Few weeks in my palette adjusted. Florence is a toned down version of New york imo. I’ve been vaping the Florence in the day time and using the New York in the evening. Freshening up the palette. I prefer the Florence personally overall. Mouth feel is good nice tannings not as intense as the New york. Similar feels to these two. Slightly nutter taste to the Florence rather than floral. It’s a very nice vape. It’s the closest thing I’ve currently found to actual smoking so far. Is it exactly the same no. But i get great satisfaction and it brings my memory of smoking to the forefront which is what i wanted. Coil life on both seem perfect. Little loss in flavour for two weeks worth of vaping but gone through maybe 20ml of each so far. I feel no need to change the coils anytime soon. Same airflow resistance on both the Florence and New York.

These seem to be great NET tobacco for my needs. They are super pricey top end of the price spectrum. I let a few vapers have a go on both the Florence and New York. A few people that vape deserts and fruits hated both of these. One response was is your coil burnt? Bonfire was used a lot. Pot pouree was used. I let one person that used NETs way before me try it. He decided after one puff to photograph the bottles as he wanted to buy some. Another person told me it’s nothing like smoking at all and I havnt smoked in over 3 years I don’t remember what it’s like. This may have some truth to it in fairness. However it’s killed the craving I’ve had to find something that resembles smoking to me and brings back those Smokey memories.

Would I buy La tabaccherica extra fry 4pod again? I would buy the Florence again. Not that fussed with the New York. I personally hate the names. Net for me needs to say what flavour you’re producing not what part of the world but that’s a personal thing for me. Plus LT has i think 12 or 15 lines in extra dry 4pod. However Naturevape only stock 3 flavours. There’s a podcast on Naturevape YouTube with a guy from LT. That’s an interesting listen. If you’re interested well worth the hour to listen to what he has to say.

Any questions please ask me. I am not qualified enough to give a better description as my experience is limited with vaping.

What is interesting for me personally is my palate can take a week to really adjust to a liquid. Steeping any shortfill or long fill for a week or two makes a massive difference in balance of flavour. Also to go try different liquids. I have used 3 liquids in three years until now. Now I’m looking at buying one new liquid a month. What’s the worst that can happen? Granted they will all be tobacco based flavours Net and synthetic. Maybe I will surprise myself and find other options.

A big shout out to Netvaper. He called extra dry 4pod in the first post. That was the correct answer my friend thank you.

Fair play. Sound like a connoisseur of tobacco. I’m glad you found what works for you. That’s all any of us are trying to do right? 12mg nic with a Smokey Latakia must be pretty intense.

Yes, I suppose it is quite intense, but I am an ex-pipe smoker. As you will know, pipes, cigars you don't normally inhale. So I draw it to the back of my throat for the hit, but do not fully inhale all of the vapour :)
