The word ‘allergies’ is used in too broad a way these days. A true allergic reaction can be potentially deadly, like if someone allergic to nuts inadvertently eats something they didn’t realise has nuts in. I have a sensitivity to some perfumes, so used only unperfumed products to wash myself and my clothes with - otherwise I get dermatitis. That kind of sensitivity is often described as an allergy these days too. I doubt the trial included anyone with the potentially life-threatening type of allergy.
Correct, in terms of the covid vaccine the wording they have used is significant allergies, they need to be far more specific by way of explanation, we ( obviously very much including my wife and I) don't want or need another type of " What is a substantial meal" debate, this is far too serious. Day to day life is a complex military style operation in this home, keeping shall I say, the bugs out of her system. I think one of the vaccines will most likely and eventually be suitable for almost everyone, even including my wife, well, that is the hope. I know there are a lot of people in the Anaphylaxis\ Allergy support community who are quite gutted (and worried) at the news today.
