i dont know which RTA you was using & kept leaking, but i use the hellvape destiny RTA & blotto max RTA & they are both bottom airflow & neither have leaked not a drop & these are kept in my trouser pocket running up & down stairs on buses at work or when im out on my mountain bike doing trail riding they are kept in my jacket pocket & often fall over side ways or upside down but both never leaked

Interesting, I had the dead rabbit RTA which was a top airflow tank, I will look into the ones you've suggested and maybe give this another crack. If it can be tilted while in a pocket/my car then that would suit my "daily needs" Thanks for your reply

Ive not used the freemax mesh pro since crimbo since i got a couple of geekvape zeus and a max tank. up until then the mesh pro was my go to tanks for flavour. only reason i changed was leaking now and again and have solved that with the zeus tanks as top airflow and so far leakproof..

now why the mesh pro was leaking. when shortfills took of in a big way i was burning through coils quicker than i am now. so what i did is dump the 100vg nic shot that comes supplied with a lot of shortfills and started buying a box of 70vg nic shots. coils started lasting quite a bit longer. but i guess thining the juice out even more is why they were leaking more.
so really its a toss up of which is more inportant, longer coil life but the odd leak now and again or shorter coil life but no leaks.

i get through on average 50ml a day at around the 50-60watt mark as i did back when i used the mesh pro and my double, triple and quads were lasting a good 10-14 days and that was mainly custards which usually gunk up coils quicker than fruits and slush which you are using.
the juice i use is all the 3 yove mentioned above and quite a lot more.

i have a few fruits but no slush so best i leave recomendatios to others to advise on.

just notice you mention you only used 1 nic shot out of the 2 from drip drop. which did you use, the vg or pg?

So I've never messed around with PG and VG shots as I've no idea what % of each I should/would use and not bothered to look into it. I just added a 10ml of premixed 70/30 Nicotine shot to the drip drop bottles. When I tried Nova Vapes i found that the liquid was constantly leaking through my coil and out of the airflow holes which I guess could be due to it being too thin for my style of vaping? You sound like you've cracked pretty much what i'm looking for from vaping with 10-14 days but what was the best solution, was it the new tank or was it doing your own pg/vg mixes of nicotine?

I'd say your coil lifespan sounds about right for how much you vape.

My gf uses stock coils (Geek Vape Supermesh) and goes through them at a rate of around 3 days per coil too.

I use mesh RTAs (specifically the Profile Unity - no leaks ever, great flavour, easy to wick with the right cotton) and get between 4-7 days before needing to change, occasionally longer. I do vape very sweet liquids though (mainly dessert/bakery flavours).

As for Dispergo, they're very nice flavours but I found them to be absolute coil destroyers.

If I do go back to trying to use an RTA could you point me in the direction of "the right cotton"? its possible the time I tried it the coils/cotton i used weren't great.

I appreciate your response on this glad to know I'm not alone. Honestly the thought of making my own liquids sounds like a nightmare but it may be the only way to improve my situation. I ordered some Drip Drop Vapour liquid last week and they came with 1 PG Shot and 1 VG shot but i've never played around with those before so i just added my own Nic shot that i'd had left over from previous bottles (I only use 1 per 100ml so always have 1 spare per order) I've managed to get through 100ml of liquid across 2 coils with one of the bottles and the other bottle within a day had my coil completely gunked so no good.

I'd need to try and understand more about PG/VG self mixing though if its also a potential way of solving my problems?

It's not super easy if you're going for ones you make yourself from lots of different concentrates but it is a lot easier than it seems. As I said there's a lot of trial an error involved with percentages of concentrates etc till you get what you want. The bottle/one shots are a lot easier but as I said some of those will probably just have the same sweetner concentrations as a pre made so you might need to try a few.

@JohnNada had some good advice up above. The mesh RTAs are pretty good for coil longevity and are a lot less likely to spit at you if you get the wicking right, plenty guides on how to wick elsewhere on here. You also get a cracking blast of vapour at only 60w from them. I'm using the Kylin Mesh Pro RTA at the moment and it's fine out and about or in the car as it's top airflow and not an RDTA.

If you're using 1 nic shot per 100ml, you're only getting 1.5mg nicotine. Try adding 2 nic shots to the 100ml shortfill, and you might find yourself consuming less liquid

I started adding just 1 because I didnt feel like i needed 3mg of nicotine and was happy with the hit i got from just 1 but are you saying having 3mg of nicotine could solve some of my issues?

ive never been a fan of the dead rabbit all seemed to be over hyped, but anyway as others on here know if i think something is junk i dont hold back on my thoughts & certainly would not recommend otherwise.

Good on coils for me. I like that one but the rest are good and the rest aren't nic salt. Check for the 100ml stuff.

Maybe I just had a bad start to my rebuildable attempt. I'll look into some of the ones mentioned above and try again.

I think @MrDJ is onto something with pg/vg ratio.
You could do with working out what the final vg percentage of the juices you're having trouble with and what the vg percentage of the juice you used to use was even if just to rule it out being too thick/vg heavy.
