Lipos revisited

If you don't mind how it looks, this should do the job nicely
CIT Micro ATX 300W Fully Wired Efficient Power Supply - Ebuyer

Will require a little modding, but I am sure that would be no issue to you.

Note- you will get voltage errors from those little 12v plug type adapters as they do not give a true 12vDC due to the way theAC is converted, the actual voltage output looks a bit like an AC wave with the bottom chopped off.

Thanks for that. Pretty big isn;t it? Is that the norm for lipo power supplies?
I've got a laptop power supply with nice big wires, just like it sayd you can use and it doesn't work.
Is there anything a bit more convenient than half a tower PC? ;)

Lol, yup pretty big on size but a more cost effective solution than picking up a 12v laptop supply.

That's the bit, you need a 12v laptop supply, not 19v as many seem to be. So that would be one of the more economical ways if you have to buy a supply.

Or a better option would be to walk out to the car and see if the charger works :)

Good point ;) I'm sure it work as when I used the variable supply, I could do everything except charge. When I went to do that, it started bleeping. Bleeping thing ;)

So I'm on the lookout for a 12V laptop power pack.
Does it need to have a certain amp limit on the pack?

Yep that's the one, you will need to check the spec sheet. You need to check the Amp requirement and get supply that is more, I think it was around 3A?
